I am not one to share,
    What has scared me so,
My story is one of great despair,
So here is what to know…

    Have you connected the dots,
    Depicting my mournful past?
Or have you scrounged through my journals,
Even taking a few pages back?

    I am the Sorrowseer,
    And one of great skill.
I fall victim to divination, and mindmency,
    Just to name a few.

    I pick up the patterns,
    Both of future and past.
    Though I can be shattered,
    And feel as others recast.

    I am the Alpha,
    And one of great pride.
    I lead with prowess,
    So the pack mustn’t hide.

    I wasn’t always well,
And that you may have seen,
    Though the cure I took,
Was not to set me free.

So what is there to know,
    After some has been shown?

    I am of reverence,
    And not to be scorned,
My scars are not all visible,
    And far from adorned.

A Clue to My Past Pt. 2

    Yet another moon has passed.
    Thoughts have been festering,
Could it be time at long last,
To inscribe what has been callous to recast.

War has been on the mind,
    Some fought with great prowess,
    Designed, outlined, refined.
And some, fought, ending in foulness,
Entwined, confined, and left oh so behind.

    The source of the sorrow,
The part that cannot be freed,
    The near instance of death,
The thing that I cannot unsee.

I had been tamed and trapped.
    Been stuck deep beneath,
In the very questions and facts,
    That caused my bequeath.

I fear the same is happening,
In this day, and this very hour.
For the same who have been freed,
Are the same nearing the trap.

    I have seen the parallel,
    It has happened before,
    This tho, I cannot preserve,
As it has already been implored.

    I cannot help but recall,
The very memories I see cold,
Not to silence one or all,
But to soon behold and grow mighty and tall.

    The scars run deep,
    This, you all shall see.
As this entails not only me.

    These words that you find
    Will show you facts, unaware.

    The information is crucial
    Of this, take great care.

    I am the people
    The people are me
    A long winding coast
    That’s surrounded by sea.

    *

    I’m a Mystery,
    That’s for sure.
    Whoever provided me,
    They told no lore.

    You’ll find me waiting
    To take a bite
    I’m charred and seasoned
    And cooked just right.

The first line of my description
    Sounds much like a dirge.
    “Here lies” comes just after.
I’m the second of the words.

    *

    It’s a private place
Found in a home to the many.
    You’ll find I reside
    Among cherished things, many.

    An Alpha keeps much
    Of their belongings around.
    You’ll find me among tomes.
    And my message be found.

    The very last page
    It’s important, you’ll note.
I talk of me, myself and I
    Two times in first rote.
    I’m found after the second
Of the word sounded like eye
And, tho small, I show life,
In a word by and by.

    *

Below ground isn’t strange for me
    Nor either the night.
But I’d choose neither of these
If I’d had it to do over and do right.

    I’ll tell you my story
If you come visit me here.
    The clue that you seek
Can be found as you near…..

Seek the last of my comments
But the first of the row.
    You’ll see why this clue
    Is just how you know….
    Who’s most important to me?

It’s the first of the letters.
A full word that means me,
    Without all that fetters.
    And nothing is free.
    My sentence is long,
But this first word is not.
It’s the thing that I think of
And only me, in my thoughts.

    *

    My wings, tho they burn
    Are not withering away.
    I revive, and respawn
    O’re many a day.

    You’ll find me in flight
    Not far from the sound
    Of many of my brethren
    Who I’ve met below ground.

    One and a Few

    One for Sorrow,
    Two is a flame,
    Three for joy,
Four is of the flame’s surname.

    Five for the night,
    Six for the morning gold,
    Seven’s to ignite,
    Never be too bold.

    Eight is a Lady
    Nine’s a locked case
    Ten is her leader,
    And eleven to chase.

At the end of the day,
    You may reminisce.
Just be mindful of the songbird,
Who hasn’t been found to miss.

    More than Meets the Eye
    ᛏᚺᛖ ᛊᛟᚱᚱᛟᚹᛊᛖᛖᚱ

It has always been my legacy to become Alpha. Though, I didn’t want the title and respect to be handed to me on a silver platter… It had to be earned. Ever since those cruel trials, I’ve worked in secret to rebuild and support our community in any way possible, and that included creating allies with the Ministry that had previously struck us down, and the Phoenixes to help protect us while we regained our foothold in the Wizarding World. Before my true identity was revealed, joining the Phoenixes was the best thing I could have done to earn the reputation and respect I needed. In the present day, a lot has changed… I’ve changed. In recent months, I had begun to feel more at ease with my destined rise to power. Between all my hard work, and my demonstrated success of the cure, I made sure to blaze a new path for myself. In showing my accomplishment of a new level of power and control, I was able to bring a new set of skills to the table as the first female Alpha.
    An Undesirable Situation

It has come to my attention that the Wizarding World has suffered through yet another violent attack. On Friday afternoon, the Lorekeeper’s Compendium in Diagonal Lane was tragically set aflame, turning decades of irreplaceable knowledge and records to ash. As for the culprit, I have come to a rather unfortunate conclusion. The Phoenixes, whom I’ve spent many months with, I believe to be the ones at fault for this atrocity. Mere moments before the eruption of flames, two Phoenixes had been present searching for a map of sorts and were quite eager to leave. There was heaps of valuable and critical information that had survived the rather coincidental flames, and much of it relates to the leader of the Phoenixes and family records... as if they wanted to keep that information hidden from prying eyes. The Phoenixes, having this be a rather out of place action for them to go through with, could easily scapegoat the Dark Followers and blame them for committing yet another violent and messy act. Not all Phoenixes are pure of heart, as for some can be rather… too eager to fire, so to say. I and the Werewolves have our eyes on you. If the Phoenixes shall commit another shady act again, we will know. The Werewolves are a force to be reckoned with, and I do not suggest any of those faint of heart to dare to cross us going forward.
    A Well Earned Victory

Greetings Witches, Wizards, Werewolves, and alike! I’d like to send a huge thank you to all of those who participated in the war. Though the Werewolves have claimed victory over the Vampires, everyone fought with great valor and courage, and that should be greatly celebrated. I have witnessed so much bravery and kindness within the Werewolves and many allies, and I am very lucky to be their leader. In the wake of the war, I have found much to be done and improved upon. I will make sure to support our ranks in any way I can. I will lead and pave the way for a better future, both for us and those who need it. I want to allow anyone in our ranks to be able to lead the life they want and live up to their fullest potential. Unfortunately, due to recent events, the Cure we have longed for may no longer be an option. Though I have not given up hope. The Conclave has been working tirelessly since to try and find an alternative. With our victory, we shall no longer be belittled and pushed aside by those who’ve wronged in the past. We are powerful and a force to be reckoned with, and shall we not be taken advantage of any longer. Thank you to all who supported us during the war, Werewolf, or not. To victory!
    Beyond The Known

    The war has begun,
We all must choose our sides.
May we protect not only one,
    But all that reside.

    With knowledge to be presented,
    And with experiences afoot,
    We must all dig deeper,
    And fear to not overlook.

    Similarities are true,
Some, though, may not be so new.
    Differences, however, run deep,
Yet are not quite considered profoundly unique.

One may have to think more,
    Why? Not how,
    And connect the dots,
For what has happened right here and right now.

    So consider the dates,
    And look at our pasts,
    Who’s taken the risks,
    And who’s taken the draft.
    Introduction Announcement

Greetings fellow witches and wizards! I am Kade Everard, the new Werewolf Alpha. As your new, and official, Alpha, I will do whatever I can to speak up for our rights and return what has been taken from us for all these years: Confidence, equality, safety, and so much more that we deserve. I have been caged, belittled, and accused of crimes I have not committed. Knowing how bad it can be… and how bad it has been… I will do everything in my power to make this inequality and suffering come to an end. Yes, I will be your leader, but also your friend, ally, and protector. With me, we’ll rise and return from the shadows! Together, we will all accomplish great things, and that includes defeating those unruly Vampires. They have stolen what rightfully belonged to us, and will pay for their actions. The Vampires have stolen a priceless and one-of-a-kind ingredient that will allow us to create a cure for Lycanthropy. As a result, we’re taking a stand against the Vampires and will force them to return the ingredient they’ve so greedily stolen from us. With your support, we Werewolves shall reign victorious over our foes and will show the Wizarding World who they’ve messed with. After all, no night lasts forever, and just as the sun, we shall rise once again!

    -Kade W. Everard
