Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Poetry in the Park Store Releases​

Take a frolic through the park and unlock your creative side with the new Poetry in the Park Store Releases! Let your love shine through with the Red Affection Wand Effects, allowing your wand to burst with red hearts when held. Looking for new ways to convey your love of some well-known playwright lines? The Shakespeare Emotes are calling to you! Along with these new cosmetics, two new collections have been put together to make sorting your favorite category of items much easier. With that being said, the Spring and Royal collections have been added to the online store to make navigation that much easier! As always, if you’re interested in checking these items out for yourself, you can do so via the online store or the in-game store. Happy shopping!​

Anniversary Store Releases & Sale​

Potterworld's 11th Anniversary is here, and there's nothing better to celebrate than with new store items! Show off your Droobledore purple colors with the new Purple Trail Wand Effects, Purple Butterfly Wand Effects, and Purple Affection Wand Effects. There have also been a few add-ons to the Drooble's Order, including the Drooble's Order Anniversary Chat Emojis, Join Affects, and an icon for your player tag and prefix! The seasonal Drooble's Order perks are available until June 21st. Give a huge thanks to the Store Team, and have a happy anniversary!​

Academics Hall Release​

The highly anticipated Academics Hall has officially opened its doors, offering an exciting new hub for learning, competition, and fun! You can access it easily by visiting the NPC stationed at the front table in the Great Hall. Once inside, players can enjoy a variety of features, including the Weekly Assignment Vending Machine where you earn tokens to win prizes, and the leaderboards that showcase the top-performing students in different classes. For those seeking skill enhancement, the Wizard’s PE Practice area and flying courses provide excellent opportunities to hone parkour and aerial skills, while the dueling arenas allow for battle practice. Additionally, the hall boasts interactive classrooms for brewing potions, cooking, and herb-growing, as well as an AC Shop for all your item needs. To celebrate the launch, there’s a limited two-week scavenger hunt with a chance to win a collectible—simply talk to Caden Cipher near the entrance to learn more. Dive in now and explore all the features this vibrant new hub has to offer!​

May the Fourth Event 2025​

Potterworld took a trip to a galaxy far, far away with the arrival of the May the Fourth event! The Millennium Falcon made its grand entrance outside the Great Hall, transporting our players to and from Batuu, where quests, activities, and rewards of all kinds awaited. Star Racing, Star Battle: Domination, and Star Battle: Payload made their exciting returns, as well as our droppers and mazes, which could be accessed through the Game Master NPC at Batuu. Not only that, but a variety of quests had returned and could be accessed through your Quest Journal in order to win Star Tokens as well as Beskar. As for rewards, a brand new scarf and plushie were added, along with some of our older rewards that hadn’t been seen in the galaxy for quite some time. The event ended on May 31st, giving players almost the whole month to explore the cosmos.​

Anniversary Courtyard Celebration 2025​

The Potterworld 11th Anniversary Courtyard Celebration is a fantastic event that brings the community together to celebrate over a decade of magical adventures. During this ongoing event, players join Kevin’s quest to find the missing candles that top the enormous birthday cake outside the Great Hall, which Kevin has painstakingly crafted for the occasion. To aid Kevin, players bake special cupcakes at the courtyard’s baking stations, gathering ingredients scattered across Hogsworth to meet Kevin’s specific orders—adding a fun scavenger hunt element. The event also features the exciting challenge of determining the most baked cupcake flavor, which is crowned Potterworld’s Best Cupcake and rewarded with a unique prize. Additionally, players can earn various rewards from the Droobledore Reward NPC hidden inside the cake, including exclusive items for those who successfully locate all 11 missing candles. Celebrating with cupcakes and community effort, the event is a sweet way to mark Potterworld’s anniversary, so make sure to check it out before it leaves on June 21st!​

2025 Star Battle Tournament​

Our annual Star Battle Tournament reappeared with the arrival of the May the Fourth Event, featuring competitions between the two minigames: Escort Payload and Star Racing. Two separate leaderboards for each of the game modes were introduced, with players gaining points through winning either of the two modes. Since last year, the way placement is calculated in Payload has been altered to give more emphasis on games won over player kills. With the end of the event, the top five players of each leaderboard will win a reward! Much like our Winter Minigames tournament, the rounds in these tournaments were staggered, allowing each game a moment to shine. The rewards available for our Top 5 victors include items such as a Temporary Champion Prefix, Arena Tokens, the Toy N-Scope Sniper, gold, and more! More information about this year’s tournaments can be found on the official forum announcement.​

AC Shop Update​

The Academics and Class Design team is back with another update to the AC Shop, where you can spend your Academic Credits on a variety of exciting and exclusive items! Some brand new class subject collectables have been added, featuring some of our favorite class subjects: Ancient Studies, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potion Theory, Theatre, and Alchemy! Make sure to check out these new additions in the shop by doing /me, and we can’t wait to see you in class!​

May Tournament Winners​

As we wrap up the month of May, so too do we conclude the 2025 May Tournaments. There were serveral major tournaments held last month, each one thrilling in its own way! Let’s give a huge shout-out to ocelotkid7 for winning the Flying Tournament, buddy365 for winning the Star Racing Tournament, ColaCinema for winning the Plasma Showdown, and snwy for winning the 1v1 House Dueling Tournament! Thank you to all who participated, and make sure to keep an eye out for our next major event!​
