The Daily Diviner - Breaking News 4

Hello readers, and welcome to the 4th edition for the Breaking News section of the Daily Diviner! Today I come to you bearing some shocking news. The Aurorlock base was attacked by both the Phoenixes and Dark Followers, and Shakti Bhardwaj was killed. I hope that the Aurorlocks, along with the Ministry, can find a way to continue on after this devastating event.

This event began with the Phoenixes and Dark Followers conversing about their plans. Their conversation was interrupted when two Aurorlock guards and the one and only Shakti Bhardwaj began to close in on them, wands out. Bhardwaj began to insult the two allegiances, and Andreu Zoldyck fired back saying the alliance was prepared to fight the Ministry. This angered Bhardwaj, and she demanded that her two guards fire Divindo at the Dark Followers and Phoenixes. The two allegiances, however, retreated into a tunnel, and Joshua Pendragon cast a shielding spell. Bhardwaj then cast ‘Disappearus’ on herself and disappeared into the darkness. Afterwards, the Dark Followers, Phoenixes, and Aurorlocks all split up into different rooms of the Ministry, prepping for the battle that was to come.

During this event, wizards from all over the world got to choose which allegiance they were going to side with. Each allegiance was on a mission to either make something or collect something. The Aurorlocks were creating warpkeys, the Dark Followers’ focus was on making explosives, while the Phoenixes were collecting files and information. The three allegiances were competing in different areas of the Ministry to see who could create/collect the most of what they needed in 15 minutes. The Aurorlocks and Phoenixes were neck and neck the whole time, with the Dark Followers behind by quite a bit. In the end, the Phoenixes managed to pull out a win. However, each allegiance was able to receive a reward. The Dark Followers could receive a Dark Follower Cookie Jar, the Aurorlocks could receive an Aurorlock Cheesecake Plate, and the Phoenixes could receive a Phoenix Brownie Box. Everyone who attended the event was able to get whichever reward they wanted, meaning they weren’t required to get the reward from the allegiance they selected.

After the 15 minutes had passed and every participant had received their reward, the battle began. Pendragon and his inner-circle, Crestello and his inner-circle and Bhardwaj and her guards were all in the arena and prepared for the fight of their lives. The Dark Followers and Phoenixes insisted Bhardwaj stop with her evil ways, but in response she sent her guards after the inner-circle members. Her guards dueled weakly, however, and fell to the side shortly after. Pendragon then cast ‘Religo Mortus’ at Bhardwaj, and declared that she would be arrested for her crimes. However, Crestello and his Dark Followers had different plans. They wanted Bhardwaj dead. The two allegiances then began to argue over Shakti’s fate: should it be imprisonment or death? Pendragon told Crestello that if the Dark Followers killed Bhardwaj, the alliance between the two allegiances was over. Crestello then stated that though he didn’t want the alliance to end and he did not enjoy killing, he was willing to take risks for a better future. Bhardwaj began to yell at the lot, angered at the fact that they were discussing her fate in her presence. Shortly after, Crestello cast the Mortiavra curse and Shakti Bhardwaj was no more. Pendragon began to argue, but Crestello stopped him and said that they should flee before more Aurorlocks arrived. The two allegiances bid farewell and the Dark Followers and Phoenixes left.

Before the event came to an end, all wizards and witches who attended were given an item called “Shakti’s Watch”. This item is a fun collectable that can be cherished forever! Now, before I end this article, I’d like to give a huge thank you to the GD Seer team for putting this event together. It was super interesting, and I’ve loved following the current storyline in roleplay. Until next time, keep your eyes open and stay on alert for the coming events!

But wait… there’s more? Indeed, there is! The ministry is-luckily-recovering from the attack, and many Aurorlocks seem to be glad that Bhardwaj is gone. I, for one, am happy to see that their community is healing, slowly but surely.

Now, onto some more exciting news. As you all know, the Aurorlocks have been awaiting a brand new Chief Aurorlock since the assassination of Miss Lauren Strudel. Well, it seems as though they’ve found their new leader. I am honored to announce to you all that the newest Chief Aurorlock is none other than Matt Griffiths! Matt is being appointed for the good of the people. I trust that this news will excite you just as much as it’s excited us at the Daily Diviner! I will now give Matt the floor, as he commences with his appointment speech.

“Over the past months, you have all been led to believe that we, the Aurorlocks of the Ministry, have been responsible for attacking groups of people. Specifically, there have been attacks directed towards the Phoenixes and the Dark Followers, leading to the destruction of the places that they call home. However, we are not responsible for these attacks. While these attacks involved Elite Aurorlock Squads, they were not authorized by the Aurorlock office. Their instructions seemingly came from elsewhere.

“Under Shakti, the Ministry became corrupt; a dangerous foe to both the magical and un-magical worlds. Recent events have needlessly risked exposure to the non-magical world. While this isn’t as big of a problem as it once was, there are still those who would like to see the magical world destroyed.

“I don’t know why Shakti did this, or whether she was acting on behalf of someone else. Her final moments still haunt me, as they do many of you. I do not know whom this ‘He’ that she mentioned is, and it concerns me greatly that this may not be over yet.

“Joel’s actions have caused an issue; they have left us without an avenue to go down, no lead, and no possibility of immediate answers. I imagine that those who were close to Shakti have already gone into hiding. Although it was unfair and unhelpful, Shakti’s death was necessary. Alive, Shakti had too great of a hold on the Ministry, as well as the Aurorlocks. After all, she successfully turned many people and communities against us.

“However, the previous attacks on Aurorlock Manor left both Joshua and Joel in a bad light to many. Numerous witches and wizards saw these as unprovoked and violent, including myself, to be frank. While I question their loyalty and motivations, I do not plan to hold this against them in the future. I hope to move forward to discover the truth of these recent events, specifically the attacks on the bases. That said, I am still cautious of both. They are two of the brightest and most cunning wizards around: people would be wise to treat them with caution. It will take time for wounds to heal for all sides.

“We in the magical world are diverse and unique. Everyone has their own story.
I grew up in a non-magical household with my brother. As you can imagine, we weren’t always welcomed within the magical world. However, I would always strive to do what’s best and protect those around us. Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves. And that is what I want to do with the Aurorlocks. I want to provide protection and safety to those loyal to us, those who have been repeatedly shunned by the rest of the magical world and those who need help. I want to offer a hand to anyone who has ever felt wronged by someone, whether that’s the ministry, the Phoenixes or even the Dark Followers. My goal is to work together as a whole, to prevent the possibility of this ever happening again. Many of you have lost people along this corrupted journey, I hope to never let that happen again. Together, we can accomplish anything. Together, we are strong.”
