I think it would be really beneficial, both to players and the server, if Potterworld implemented store gift cards. I know on other servers, you can buy another player a gift card to the store, and I think this would be a good addition to Potterworld. I could see this being useful in two ways:

- Potterworld users who do not have a credit card or a means to purchase store items could ask their parents, family members, or whomever to buy them credit on the Potterworld store. Perhaps a child asks for $25 to spend on Potterworld for their birthday, and their parents get it for them. The child is free to spend it however they would like on the store. This would eliminate parents having to input their credit card information every time the child wants to purchase something. Many parents buy their children Robux and V-Bucks that lets the child dictate what they would like to spend it on, so why should Potterworld miss out on this opportunity?
- This is my main, albeit selfish, reason for implementing store gift cards. Someone is making me a skin right now, and I would like to show them a way to say thanks. Unfortunately, I do not know what this user likes or doesn't like, and I am afraid if I asked them, they would insist not to get them anything. If PW had gift cards, I could purchase this person a gift card to spend how they see fit in the PW store. Additionally, I am a player who likes to do store trades. People's wants change frequently and I sometimes do not want to have a bunch of purchases on my credit card, so a way to combat this would be a store gift card. Rather than racking a plethora of purchases on PayPal, I could instead gift a player a certain amount of money to spend on the server. That way, they can buy precisely what they want and, if they want something else down the road and have a leftover balance, they can get it, too!
- Your classic, run of the mill gift card. Traditionally, how e-gift cards work is by inputing the email of the recipient and the store then, electronically, sends the gift card to the associated email. This would not quite work as well on Potterworld for a few reasons. As a frequent store user, I know that Potterworld utilizes Tebex to process payments. I am unsure if Tebex has an option to pay with a store gift card and, if they do not, it would probably be a hassle to implement. Another concern is that some users, when doing a store trade, may not feel comfortable giving out their email to someone on Minecraft. This is completely understandable, and so I suggest the following:
- Make Potter Points purchasable on the store. The purchaser could then gift a set amount of Potterpoints to a player, in $1 (100 Potter Points) increments. This would allow the giftee to utilize the in-game GUI to purchase what they want on their own terms. A potential concern of this is violation of Minecraft's EULA, but to my (very limited) knowledge, being able to purchase an in-game premium currency does not violate the EULA because regular, non-donating players still have the opportunity to earn Potter Points without spending money (through tournaments, etc).
