The photos says most of it, because the server uses a custom resource pack there could be emotes added,
as seen in the photo below on how you could use a emote.
a house could be displayed with a emote in front of the players name.
or making another message look more professional like the reward one.
but you could also make a emote a unlockable through an event or store purchase that the player could display infort of there name, like the halloween one.
the player could also be allowed to use any of the added emotes in chat.
so the icons or emotes also display in books on signs, in your name above your head, basically it can be used everywhere you see text.
i used chinese characters and changed the font in the resource pack, there are like a thousand characters that could be used.
