Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, Jr. Game Designer Applications have been closed and will remain closed until further notice. Good news though! Video WizNetworker applications are back open and calling your name! Ever been interested in working on the incredible and relatable content presented in our Instagram Reels and Tik Toks? Now’s your chance to apply!​

Sweet Store Releases​

Head over to the store and take a bite out of the new Sweet Store Releases! The Gummy Bear Bundle is perfect for anyone seeking a squishy companion to explore this year’s Valentine’s event with them. Add to your hat collection with the brand new Tango Rose Hat, delicious Cookie Hat, and magical Frosty Crown! We can’t forget to mention the newly added and wonderfully sweet Candy Death Effects, Candy Scenery for your housing, and a cuddly Buddy Backpack Warp Key appearance. Arena 2023 Season 1 Releases​

As we get ready to start the first Arena season of this year the team has a few new changes and additions to announce! Two challenge modes have been updated with live challenges with them being: the Knockout Flying Challenge and the Flying Training Sessions Arena Protocol. The Arena Team has added two new protocols to its rules: if both players forfeit a duel, then both players will be marked as having lost the duel and receive lesser rewards. In a team dueling challenge, if a teammate leaves the challenge, the team will be given the option to duel with the acknowledgment that they will be down a player. Players are allowed to decide on either the new teammate, playing with a man down, or forfeiting the duel. We hope you enjoy all the new additions and changes as we begin this year's first Arena season and good luck!​

Assistant to Head of Media​

Let’s give a huge round of applause to the newest Assistant to Head of Media & Public Relations, Danielle (MamaDuckie)! Danielle has proven herself by going above and beyond in so many ways since joining Media in 2020. In this new position, Danielle will be assisting the current Head of Media (Emily) with the management and responsibilities of all the teams within the Media & PR department. We can’t wait to see what she does in the position!​

Bug Fixes & Improvements​

It's already been an exciting year on Potterworld, and what's more exciting than Development Updates? With the removal of Soulshard Wars on February 1st, the Development Team decided to add a few Daily Activities for the Revenant Gauntlet. They also added two new blocks to the Mine Depot for Housing; Lapis Block and Wither Skeleton Skull. On top of that, a few changes have been made to our minigames. All Party Games rewards have been increased by 5 Gold and a new gamemode called "Cauldron Dash" was added to the minigame! In Flying, players will now appear invisible with a glow, and AFK players will be kicked from Hide and Seek after a short period of time. We can’t wait to see what else the Dev Team has in store!​

Gameplay Update 1.8.4​

With another magical month, comes another magical Gameplay Update! This is a big and exciting one, with lots to go over. The Hourglass in the Great Hall at Hogsworth will now be adaptive with each house’s current points during each yearly quarter! You can also now save personal custom locations on your Enchanted Compass to track. Book copiers can now be found outside of Hogsworth. On top of all this, an Event Lounge has been added to the server! Whenever there are no current events, you will have the opportunity to visit the Event Lounge and learn more about Potterworld Events!​

A Sweet Turn of Events​

Make sure to check out this sweet event before it leaves on March 12th! Players traveled far and wide to find Candyland! The event includes quests, activities and more to help players reach Gumdrop Castle. All across the board from Tootsie Town to Frosted Food Fairgrounds, there are sweet challenges and games around every corner! And don’t forget about prizes! Players are able to turn in their Event Tokens in Tootsie Town Marketplace for some gummy-tastic rewards or even gold! A great treat for all wizards and witches to enjoy.​

Valentine's 2023 Giveaway​

This month the WizNetworker team is hosting a Valentine's 2023 Giveaway! The prizes for this event being the Valentine's Housing Scenery, the Red Wizard Hat, or the Heart Staff wand appearance, as well as 200 House Points and 100 Potter Points. The slot will be limited to one winner. This time, the giveaway will work a little differently... you have to write something nice about someone else to enter! This message can be to a friend or even a significant other! Make sure to check out the post for the giveaway rules. The giveaway ends February 28th and the winner(s) will be announced on the 1st of March. So remember to get your entries in soon. February Flying and Dueling Tournament Winners​
