Greetings witches and wizards!

It's time for our Arena 2024 Season 1 Mid-Season Release!

Map Additions: We have multiple new maps, including revamped and returning!

NEW - Fairy Sanctuary Flying Course

NEW - Castelomagia Flying Course

NEW - Mermaid Cove Flying Course

NEW - Enchanted Valley Flying Course

REVAMPED - Giza Necropolis Flying Course

REVAMPED - Mushroom Forest Flying Course

REVAMPED - RoH Dueling Arena

General Arena Updates: Here are some general changes we have made to how we operate.

  • We are happy to announce our new updates-log channel within the Arena Discord.
    • Why did we add it? We have received feedback regarding players not knowing of changes or updates that have been made until a Season Release is published. We agree this can be quite frustrating and have decided to create an updates-log channel to keep players up to date on what the team has been working on each month.

  • We have increased the number of Surprise Challenges and Training Sessions that can be hosted.
    • Why have we done this? We've noticed how players have recently been enjoying the increased amount of Surprise Challenges and Training Sessions that happen throughout the month. With this, we chose to increase the amount allowed to be hosted per week and month!

  • We've added a new protocol rule for Tournaments.
    • Why have we added this? We have received feedback regarding Round Robin-type Tournaments. We understand the frustration regarding previous experiences and have decided to implement a new protocol for the team to follow for future Tournaments. Moving forward, we will be following the rule below.
      • If there are 5 teams or less attending, the Tournament will automatically become a Round-Robin. The host can decide between 2 or 3 rounds. If there are 6 or more teams in attendance, the host will decide whether to host a single or double-elimination Tournament.

  • We've changed our December Tournaments to 4v4!
    • Why did we change this? We've listened to the Arena community and have gone ahead and changed December from 3v3 Tournaments to 4v4.

  • The team has been continuing to fix general bugs and improve player QoL.
    • What exactly does this mean? The team has been hard at work to make sure the bugs we run into are fixed. This also includes QoL updates such as a new Visibility Toggle that can be used during 1v1 racing-style Challenges and Tournaments. We have also updated outdated Arena tech and are continuing to work on fixing the majority of our Dueling maps - though, the issues we are currently facing are out of our control.

What can I look forward to in the future?

Over the last couple of months, we have been working on adding multiple new features and QoL updates to not only Challenges and Tournaments but to our overall gameplay experience within Arena. We are continuing to work on our Hunger Games gamemode and have continued to stay successful without the use of code. On top of this, we have multiple other projects currently being worked on that'll be released sometime in the future. Additionally, the team is a lot smaller than what it used to be, which means less manpower to work on completing our projects at a faster pace. If you want to be a part of brainstorming and creating these projects, we recommend that you apply for Arena Squire to help!
