Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of January 2nd, 2022! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. This week's assignment is "Divination - Oneiromancy,” created by Arne (tqrpiar).

Information
Divination has a wide variety of different branches, and one is called Oneiromancy. Whoever practices this form Divination uses their dreams in order to interpret what they mean and figure out specific patterns.
Anyone practicing Oneiromancy will feel like they’re traveling to another time and place within their dreams, causing them to feel like they bring factual information upon their return.
Oneiromancy is one of the most famous forms of ancient Divination and is highly based on the belief that dreams are messages sent either from gods or the dead.
Positive dreams get used as a blessing and are often said to be messages from good spirits, assuring no bad will happen in the coming day.
However, negative dreams are said to be messages from demonic spirits and warn diviners for what’s about to come.
Assignment
For the past few weeks, you’ve found yourself having very strange dreams and have decided to keep track of your dreams each morning. A pattern occurs but you don’t know what it means and decide to reach out further for help. Who do you go to and what do your dreams mean?
Please make sure to write at least 5 full sentences to get AC for this assignment! Your assignment must be entirely written by you, and may not be plagiarized (including copying anything from online sources, books, or movie plots) in any way. Assignments must follow all PotterworldMC rules, which can be found here; assignments that do not follow all PotterworldMC rules will be subject to punishment. If your assignment does not meet the requirements, you will be unable to redo your assignment for this week. Assignments are due at 12am PST on Sunday, January 9th, 2022. You may submit as soon as you would like, but any assignments submitted after that time will not receive grades. You may receive up to 20 ACs for your submission.
