Overview
Magizoologists are a group of magicians who dedicate themselves to studying and caring for magical creatures. To effectively understand the needs of different creatures, aspiring individuals must attain at least an Oustanding during the H.A.T examinations in Magical Creatures Studies. In addition to that, each Magizoologist must have a kind heart and be willing to help any magical creature in need.
Being talented individuals, each Magizoologist has a specific type of creature that they hold a special connection with. With that special bond, they can further specialise in that particular creature, such as a dragon tamer with dragons. The unique bond with the creatures will allow the Magizoologist to identify their needs easily and reduce the risk of creature-related accidents.
The history of Magizoologists and their special bond with creatures dates back to the year 1898 when a witch Antonya Embers was born. At that point in time, all magical creatures were simply classified as simple, medium or hard to kill. All creatures were also seen as beasts and were only used for potions or their magical abilities.
However, this all changed when little Antonya Embers wandered alone into the woods. After a long and frantic search, her parents found her safe with a pack of Hippogriffs. Typically seen as scary and dangerous creatures, little Antonya seemed to have a special bond with them. Her parents could only stare in surprise as she hopped around the creatures without a single scratch.
When Antonya grew older, she pursued her passion for magical creatures at Hogsworth. She had a big dream to change the way all magical creatures were treated in England. Her dream came true when she started working in the Ministry and found new ways to protect all creatures. Antonya believed that all magical creatures could be befriended and even wrote a book named “A Magical Guide for Handling Creatures”.
In her book, she came up with a new grading system to classify magical creatures. This equipped readers with the skills to handle creatures from different categories. Ranging from Grades A to E, Grade A consisted of amiable and easily-trained creatures while Grade E involved Exponentially Dangerous and untrainable creatures. Antonya’s new system was soon implemented by the Ministry and widely used till this day.

What happened next? Was it a creature which needed your help or was it all just a trick?
