Academics Weekly Assignment — October 2nd, 2022

Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of October 2nd, 2022! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. This week's assignment is "Magical Geography - Rushstone" created by Arne (tqrpiar).

The assignment is as follows:
Overview
Rushstone was founded in the 1920s, and has always been a remotely quiet town. Due to the location of the town, a lot of buildings have had to be rebuilt to ensure safety to citizens and travellers. However, you can still find a lot of old architecture here and then of buildings that were demolished.

The town has two outstanding builds: the watermill and the tower next to it. The tower was constructed first and was shortly followed by the water wheel. The wheel allows a good amount of water to get into the well in the middle of the town—so citizens have easy access. Underneath the watermill lies a small door, upon entering you are met with broken off train tracks. Running deeper into the cave will bring you to the mines of Antrum.

Assignment
Asides from Rushstone’s gorgeous location and architecture, the question of the train tracks float through the town. What do you think happened for the broken off train tracks to be located here?
