Better/more Discord emotes

Current Discord server has Level 2 Nitro Boosting, that means, one part of the boosts is more server emotes. (TLDR at the bottom)

However, this has not been used in any way other than the Server Banner.
Here are the current emotes:

Most of them are random player heads, yes I am aware that they are staff, however, I don't think I could connect those heads with the name of the staff the skin belongs to. And they do not represent any emotion (get it ? emotes - emotions ?).

The other half is black text, which is really hard to read on a default Discord background, which is dark grey. And even harder to read when they're used as a reaction to a comment or a post:

If you can't tell, the black text says "Got it!"..... if you can read "welcome to the team" that's been used as a reaction then wow to you.

For the rest, they're either social media icons or Potterworld ?division? icons - the CM, Build, Media etc.
The only emotes that seem useful as a reaction in my opinion are:

:rupaul: (looks surprised)
:dany: ("haha no")
:omg: (omg)

This one I have issue with:

I'm not sure if I like to see a person that got famous thanks to an adult tape and a fully nude back photo, on a server that brands itself as family and kid friendly. Especially considering that a Pog emote was denied because it doesn't fit Potterworld community. Also considering that animated Among us characters were declined because the game features animated killing. Yet someone who's done literally p*rn has an emote on Potteworld. Where's the consistency ?

TLDR:
What I propose is:

• Utilize the 150 emote slots better
• Change or remove the current player head emotes. Maybe 3D arithmancers can help to bring emotion to them ?
• Change the black text emotes to white text emotes for better readability (maybe replace them with actual emotes)
• Remove :cryingkim:

Hey there and thank you for making this suggestion!

Getting new emotes on the Discord is something we already have planned and want to do in the future (I briefly mentioned that here). It will be something that takes quite some time though if want to make our own custom emojis. We'd need to have them each made by the same person to ensure they are in the same style as well.

Back in 2019, we wanted to try having emojis on the Discord that were renders & custom drawings of our Head Staff. I worked on this for a series of months but it again took a lot of time that I did not personally have. I've attached an image with the ones I made. These are in no shape or form final, but just thought I'd share for the fun of it!

As for the other emojis you mentioned, there are some that we'd still like to keep as we use them very frequently and have been a part of PW Slack/Discord history for years now. We can keep in mind whether we want to keep them or not (because I agree that not all of them are that great), but for now, at least, we'd like to keep them until we get the custom emojis.

Again, the custom emojis are things we plan and want to do, but we have no ETA on this. We've got a lot of other projects going on in Media that we'd like to work on first , but I assure you that this is on our list (who knows - you might see some new emojis soon)!
