Can't Resolve hostname

I moved to version 1.12.2 and put in the server details but it always says [Unknown Host]. Is there a way to fix this?

To gain some further information, are you using a premium (purchased) Minecraft: Java Edition account and are you using the IP "play.potterworldmc.com"? It can also be helpful to know what your in-game name is.

1.12.2 is a version that we support, so that should not be the issue here. If you can please let us know the above information, we can look into this more!

I am using the Xbox gamepass given Java Edition of Minecraft as I don't have Minecraft purchased. Sorry if this is a problem and the Server IP I used is from the website beginner page.

Are you completely sure that are you using the IP play.potterworldmc.com, with no typos or spaces anywhere? If so, it should work. Usually the error you mentioned is caused by an incorrect IP
