Cosmetic Minigame Achievement Rewards

I'm unsure if this would be a dupe suggestion - searched but couldn't find anything related to it, but this idea is to include cosmetic rewards for certain achievements that players can reach in each of the minigames. This could be similar to how Professions offered rewards when a player mastered them.

The Minigame Achievements could range from reaching a certain amount of rounds played for each game and could vary based on how long and easy they are. After they reach the first amount, maybe it could scale up and offer extra rewards after that.
  • Quabbleball - 1st tier: 250 games - 2nd tier: 750 games - 3rd tier: ???
  • Melting Floor -1st tier: 500 games -2nd tier: 1000 games
  • Hide and Seek - 1st tier: 500 games - 2nd tier: 1000 games
Another Achievement could be based on how many rounds won.
  • Quabbleball - 1st tier: 50 games - 2nd tier: 250 games - 3rd tier: ???
  • Melting Floor - 1st tier: 100 games - 2nd tier: 500 games
  • Hide and Seek - 1st tier: 100 games - 2nd tier: 500 games
Rewards
The first round could give a scarf with the game's name on it
Once a player reaches the second achievement, maybe the reward could be a hat themed to the minigame.
If there's a third tier of achievements maybe it could be a pet or broom appearance?
And if there's a fourth tier - housing scenery that's themed to the minigame

The rewards shouldn't be given based on the current leaderboards but should count the games after something like this is released. So if someone had 1000 games played right now, they wouldn't get the rewards, they would have to play another 250+ games.

Pros - Encourages players to play more minigames if they see that they can get a cosmetic reward.
Cons - NOTHING!

I read this, and I myself don’t play mini games often, but I might start playing them again if this were implemented.

I like this idea, specially it would make those minigames who aren't played that much (Like party games and ss) having more active.

Alternative version:
Have a "single reward" cosmetic, that changes appearance based on the number of player's wins
That does seem simple, but I think they would worry about how many slots they have available for the 3D items that they create in the resource pack? If there were 3 tiers of rewards and based on the 6 minigames, it would take up 18 slots of different hats. But I do like that idea of just keeping the rewards as hats that will look different as the player levels up a tier. Maybe they could keep it basic with just tiered scarf names?

10140 total available slots in 1.12,
20290 total in Minecraft if we include netherite tools.
Excluding armor and dyed armor.

I don't think that'd make a difference, IIRC item metadata (name, description) is tied to the damage level just like the 3D model.

Hello hello @Somnambulist and everyone else!

I'm happy to inform you that this suggestion has been accepted! We like the idea of minigame achievements and incorporating it into an overall achievements system. However, we have not investigated this fully and are not likely to release a large number of cosmetics with it. This is not a high priority right now, but we'll consider it in the future - therefore the thread will be marked as on hold!

Thank you for the suggestion and I hope you have a wonderful day/night!
