Crashing while in class

When I am in class it runs smoothly for a bit and then crashes. It usually only happens after I start writing in the book and quill and after joining back it does it again. I am on version 1.14.4 and the crash report is

java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: 139

I don't know if it's just my Minecraft or if it is a common issue but I really want AC and I can't get it when my Minecraft crashes.

@casswallacee I believe the server officially supports minecraft versions from 1.10 to 1.14. However, I would suggest switching to minecraft version 1.12.2 which is commonly used and has been around long enough for most bugs with it to be fixed.
