Dementares

I just recently completed the level 80 grad quests within the last week. Since I first joined the server, I looked forward to the Dark Prison quests/dementares. After completion, it feels like they have no value (other than obtaining gear recipes and what not.) Since XP is no longer needed, would there be a way to implement X amount of gold for kills instead?

Unfortunately, we have made the decision to decline your suggestion. That is because we believe this would unbalance the economy too much, as even giving level 80s 1 gold per kill would allow them to farm a large amount of gold just via killing these mobs, while lower levels cannot.
For graduates, there are already a couple of ways to earn gold (e.g. classes, dailies, chest runs) and even while killing Dementares, there are ways to earn gold by selling their mob drops, either to Vendors or to other players for the rarer drops. Therefore, we do not think this is a necessary addition to allow graduates to earn more gold.
