didn't get item for quest!

i was doing the sneaky students quest (year 2).
damien gave me the shovel to collect snowballs but my inventory was full so i didn't get it.
i already did /t create and sent a message to staff.
is there anything else i can do??

any help would be appreciated, thanks!
