Gameplay Update 1.4.2 [March 1st 2022]


Hello everyone! The Game Design team has prepared another mid-update patch for you all, this time focused on revamping the Revenant Gauntlet and the long-awaited return of Lacerum Incisis!

Changed Content
General Gauntlet Changes:
- We have adjusted the minimum amount of players who can join, this now means you need a minimum of 3 players to join the Gauntlet, with up to 5 maximum.
- With the change to the amount of players who can join, we have rebalanced the Gauntlet to be aimed towards 4 players in a Gauntlet. This should hopefully give people the opportunity to go with fewer people (3) for a more difficult experience as well as go with more people (5) for a slightly easier experience. The Gauntlet still has some aspects that scale according to the amount of players, mainly certain boss skills (the health of the bosses are the same for any player amount however).

Enchantress:
- Added a new skill for the cat form called 'Super Pounce' it shoots out a projectile for each player and it does 2500 dmg & spawns a cat mob that has 6k health and 800 melee dmg (this ability has at least a 15s cooldown).
- Buffed the fairy and mirror image mobs. The fairy mobs have 20k health with 500 melee damage and the mirror image mobs have 4k health
- Decreased health from 750000 (OG Health) --> 400000 (about 46% decrease)

These changes were made to adjust for other buffs/skills, as well as hopefully solve the issue of this boss taking too long to kill and feeling boring.

Butcher:
- Decreased health from 800k --> 500k (about 37% decrease)
- Butcher Plague aura now does 500 damage when the skill is run
- Decreased the cooldowns for Axe Throw and Whirlwind from 8s --> 5s.

These changes should hopefully make the fight feel less slow and boring (as well as balance to 4 players).

Wraith:
- Decreased health from 300000 → 285000 (5% decrease)

The health decrease is to balance around 4 players.

Zirxas:
- Decreased health from 900000 → 810000 (10% decrease)

The health decrease is to balance around 4 players.

Giant Zirxas
- Decreased health from 999999 → 949999 (approx. 5% decrease)
- Decreased the slowness effect given from Smash skill
- Increased the cooldown of Smash skill from 7s --> 8s
- Increased the cooldown of Soul Bomb skill from 12s --> 18s
- Main skills (Soul Bomb, Smash, and Inhale) can no longer be cast directly after each other. There is now at least a 3s delay between each skill being casted. We made these changes to hopefully ensure that players can properly prepare for each skill before they're cast.

The health decrease is to balance around 4 players.

New Addition- Soul Essence & Lacerum Incisis
We know a lot of people have been waiting quite some time for Lacerum Incisis to return to our world. We're happy to announce a new way to obtain Lacerum Incsis, in the form of Soul Essence. You can now earn Soul Essence from defeating the most dangerous bosses in our world, which reside only in current (and future) gauntlets.

To begin learning more about Soul Essence, speak to the Ghost Prince in the Head of Serpent Office in the dungeons of Hogsworth. Be warned though, you may need to brew a certain potion before he's willing to talk...

Currently, you can earn the following amount of Soul Essence from defeating each boss:
Enchantress: 1
Butcher: 2
Wraith: 3
Zirxas (Normal): 2
Giant Zirxas: 2

You will need to obtain 100 Soul Essence to obtain Lacerum Incisis! You can view your progress at the Ghost Prince NPC. Do note, once you hit 100, you will stop earning Soul Essence. It is possible we may increase this cap in the future should we add more rewards.

We hope that these changes create a better experience for everyone to be able to experience the Gauntlet, as well as obtain Lacerum Incisis. We hope to see you in the depths of the ruined Dark Follower Base soon!
