Gameplay Update 1.9.1 [May 1st 2023]

Hello witches and wizards, the Game Designer Team is re-evaluating our philosophy regarding world exploration and travel. We would like the world to be more easily accessible for players and less painful to navigate. To start working towards this goal, we have made the following changes:

Warp Key Bags
There will no longer be a cooldown applied when utilizing warps in the Warp Key Bag.

Fire Dust Network
The Fire Dust Network accessible in towns no longer requires the Fire Dust physical item and is free to use. As such, Fire Dust will no longer be purchasable and no longer be given by Hidden Chests. As we phase out the Fire Dust item, it has been made untradeable between players and those with excess Fire Dust can sell it for its Gold equivalent at the House Elf near any Fire Dust Network Fireplace.

This isn't an improvement.

This pretty much made the fast warps reward tier from doing Reputations redundant and basically tells players that you guys don't care that they actually spent wasted their time doing Reputations to get the warps.

I don't feel the effects of that (Because I never really got in to reputation), but I do agree very much with Psycho. Removing this takes away the main point of reputation... Some players spent many many hours grinding daily for the warp.

I personally like the new changes, but it does seem like all those players' work got wasted :/ Maybe make another reward as compensation to those who worked hard and got the warp key slot for a town(s). Because at this point you don't really have a choice because no one is gonna do reputations unless there is a new reward that is worth their time.

We absolutely care about our dedicated players and the amount of time that they put into the server. We will discuss a compensatory reward for that tier of rep and if you have suggestions for what that could be, I urge you to create a forum suggestion thread or message me on discord. This change was primarily made for the QOL of newer / casual players as we have heard repeatedly over the past couple years that navigating the world is painful and slow. Overall the engagement with reputation has been very low so we must consider the average player experience, but that does not mean our intention is to harm or neglect our most dedicated players and will look into solutions. Thank you for your feedback and pointing out this frustration.
