Cute ideas to make PG possibly better
1. Capture the Pixies
Powerup Pixies - give boosts like speed / double points / make other pixies glow, anything like that
2. Cauldron Dash
Random power-ups - speed, 1 use wands (with ascendo/appareo/push spells), explosives
Possibly enable punching during the last round to make it more exciting (possible powerup - if someone tries to punch u while you have it enabled, they get pushed)
*the game right now is pretty passive without much interactions between players
3. Choose the Potion
Remake the "Begin" message that covers up the colors of starting potions
4. Dungeon Escape
Add a Troll in random room as a funny distraction
5. Fly control
Crashing powerups - If you fly thru those, you crash!
6. Grab the Ear Muffs
Absolutely RNG right now, and the map itself is made in a way that one player will always be closer to the Ear Muff
Possible solution - Make a way bigger map with equal dimensions and also add some sort of magic (like pushing/pulling people, ascendo etc) so that you can actually strategize
7. Grimlotts Break Out
Fairly new gamemode, I'm not sure how I feel about it. It all comes down to who takes the biggest risk after Nifflers are announced, and if you fail its basically ggs. I would make the map a bit more cleaner with all of the particles and barriers, possibly adding bigger parts that you need to go around of or even parkour over. Maybe something like the rainbow road during the pride events. (I think Leyak also made a video when he suggested a gamemode like this)
8. Keep the Crown + Tag
The wands seem extremely delayed in those games, also I think if you're too close to the person and trying to cast, the spell doesn't work. Also make different maps.
10. Knockout
Add the gummy bears like in knockout zone
(or something funnier like Hagrids)
11. Parkour Race
Possibly make the first section get easier courses, and then the last section get the harder ones. The map itself doesn't look that good, so I would also rebuild it a bit to make it more cleaner and fix barriers.
12. Shoot the Target
Buff the +1 owls because they really don't do much. Possibly alter the speeds that owls drop at so its a bit more entertaining if possible.
13. Speed Build
More builds!! I like the ones that use stairs because it's not just about how fast you can place the blocks
also fix timer so the building starts when it actually goes off and not a few seconds early
14. Trivia
Add questions in a way that they have a shared pool of answers. That way the people can't just click the answer they learned by heart, but actually have to at least somewhat read the question (also make the questions as similar as possible). Example
Which common room is furthest/closest from X
Answers: Griffin, Raven, Serpent, Honeybadger
Possibly add math questions that you also can't learn by heart
Can be regular math or we can always make it magical if needed -
If one gold is 17 sickles, and 1 sickle is 29 knuts, how many knuts is X sickles?
Harry's wand is 11 inches long, but he broke it into thirds - how long are the thirds?
It's 3:00 and the next class is in 1 hour and 43 minutes, and it lasts for 25 minutes, at what time does the class end?
LucyGoosey has 54850 gold and wants to buy a broom that costs 34500 gold, how much gold will she have left?
15. Wand Spleef
Add duro - Hardens the blocks under you for a short amount of time, making you safe (long cooldown)
New ideas woo hoo!
1) Dress to Impress/Spot the Metamorphmagus/Who casted the dark mark (Describe the criminal)
All ideas are based on cosmetics from store
1.1. You get a theme and dress your character - people vote for the best one
1.2. X number of NPCs show up wearing the same cosmetics, only one is different - the first player to spot it gets a point. First one to score 3 (or so) points gets first place and the rest continue, and so on until the top3 players get 3 points each
1.3. 1. A group of NPCs with similar cosmetics are walking around until one casts the dark mark - players have to watch carefully to remember which one did it. Then the suspects are presented and players choose the right one.
1.3.2. Similar to last one, you just gotta describe (pick cosmetics from a huge pool) and if you match them all, you get a point.
Obviously all of those are vague concepts, but I hope it at least gives some inspiration for an actual game
2) EXPLOSION game - I'm not sure yet how it would work but people love TNT and exloding things, and I dont think PW utlised that.
1.1. Maybe something Weasley style - Blow up Umbridges Mansion - everyone gets a building each to blow up with spells and Bombastic Bomb packs and the most blown up plots win!
1.2. Or something more "dark" and complex, utilising the spira elytra spell -You are a dark follower who is using the unsupported flight (the elytra spell but its long lasting) and you are raiding Luna's house like in the movies. The flying makes it a bit harder to aim at the building than the previous idea
3) The Inferi/Dementor Invasion
Inspired by the scenes from the movies (dont decline me for this
)
Basically you have Dumbledore/Sirius who you are protecting from a hoard of attacking Inferi or Dementors (its rlly difficult) and players are rewarded by the health left from their NPC
4) Survive the disaster - has potential to be its own game
4.1. Battle of hogwarts style - Dark followers are attacking, theres dark creatures (giants, spiders etc.), theres meteorums being cast (pretty much like battle of hogwarts old style xd or Azkaban or gauntlet style) - last ones standing win!
4.2. "Natural" disaster style - a random disaster is picked like a flood, earthquake, fire, meteors, virus, a DRAGON/wither attack. vampires&werewolves... and you have to utilise the map to survive
*theres no fighting or pvp here, you just try to survive and you have/can get spells to help u survive (unless you do like a ender dragon that attacks us on a floating island, then i guess one short range combat spell is fine so u can stop the dragon from hitting u)
5) Find the snidget/shy bowleaf/horcrux/hidden coupon LOL
Players are teleported to a highly detailed map with tons of hiding spots and players have to find the hidden item
6) Black friday in Diagon alley
Players get a shopping list with random items (books, clothes, cauldron, broom, animal etc.)
Magic is enabled and people have to be quick to get all the items.
*when i said magic is enabled I DIDNT MEAN KILLING, just like pushing and knocking others so you slow them down and try to get all the items before everyone else
*also the map can be made smaller and more appropriate for the gamemode
7) Plasma showdown / Griffin Sword Brawl / Cupid's Bowfight
Taking advantage of more simple combat styles that people are more familiar with
so something like plasma we already have but the gamemode could be unique to PG if its like a sword of Griffin that also has its own spells but also does dmg by simply clicking. And then the same logic for cupids bowfight, u have a vanilla minecraft bow but it also has spells for mobility and maybe damage
