This may be more of a QOL change, but I think it'd be a very beneficial change. As I've visited many players' shops, whether that be to browse their catalog or look for a specific item, I've found it annoying and even frustrating at times to see all sorts of items kind of just plopped in random places in the shop GUI (especially with larger shops with many pages of items). I think it would be great to have a way to organize all of the items in your shop however you wanted. For example, it'd be really nice to have all of my collectables for sale listed together, then broom parts (even having them listed briskbranch parts first, then solarsweep, etc.) then gear pieces, then mob drops, and so on when someone opened up the shop GUI. This would make it much easier for players to navigate other players' shops and see what they have for sale, especially because many items share the same texture. If, for example, you went to someone's shop looking for thestry feathers, but that player also had phoenix feathers, fweeper feathers, etc. for sale as well, you may have to hover over several feather items and flip pages looking for thestry feathers specifically. If the items were sorted by, say, mob drops, and then within mob drops they were sorted by mob level, you could easily navigate through the mob drops to level 19, where you may see thestry dung, feather, and heart listed together. However, with this change, players could still choose to just leave their shop items in a random order if they didn't want to spend the time organizing them. Because of this, I also think this change may add a new factor into how players perceive other players' shops. Maybe a certain player has a large shop with a variety of items at a good price, but there's no organization to it and the shop is hard to navigate. On the other hand, there may be another player with many of the same items at a similar price who's shop is very clean and organized, making for a very user-friendly shopping experience. The second shop described would probably be the one you choose to go back to.
I don't know how hard something like this would be to implement into the game, but I believe it would be possible. Maybe you could hover over an item in the "Manage Stock" section in /shop and hit 1 to move it left one space and 2 to move it right one space, or even use arrow keys. Clicking and dragging would be another idea, but I don't know if that would be harder/easier to implement.
I understand that this may be a somewhat large undertaking (if possible) to put into the game for something that seems like a simple QOL change, but I think it would be well worth it.
Also, here are some pictures of what this change might look like.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope you have a great rest of 2021!
