Second Year quests

So I've been trying to do the Second Year quest
One problem I keep having that I just can't figure out certain things like for one is the Raven quest, I go into the secret room and what I see is the green particles I straight to that but in the slot, it's wrong the books? I've checked out the whole room and I'm so confused about it. Another one is serpents quest I'm in the room with melodies I can't figure out what they are trying to do can someone just explain that to me, also with the Griffins quest just explain what I need to do, it would help a lot if I just got a tip or something.
