A New Subscription Rank? What’s that?
Feature
Written by Creme_de_Creme
Edited by bluecherub

Hello lovely readers! Welcome back to the Feature column of the Daily Diviner. As you know, Potterworld currently has several allegiances and clubs that are purchasable on its store website. These purchases give players special prefixes, wand appearances, new spells, access to chats in-game and on Discord, and so much more. Would you like a sneak peek at an upcoming release? If so, read on inquisitive reader!

The most recent and thrilling project the Store team is working on is a new subscription rank! Now, you may be asking yourself, “What even is that? What would it include?” The subscription rank, which has a special title that has yet to be revealed, is a renewable rank that gives people access to multiple features both in-game and on the Potterworld Discord. It will be completely different from any previous releases because players will only continue to have access to the special perks it supplies so long as they renew their subscription each month.

On the Discord, there will be a special role for subscribers. In-game, there will be a wide variety of unique perks. The upcoming subscription rank will include a new wand appearance, pet, emote pack, and much more! Similar to how other packages on the store include hats, wand enhancements, and other fun cosmetics, the subscription rank will grant access to exclusive items. Unlike allegiances and clubs, players will need to renew their subscription in order to keep these perks.

One of the most interesting features, in my opinion, is that the subscription will include access to various icon prefixes. Some readers may remember when Potterworld had the professions level system, which awarded players in several ways, one of the most coveted being the icon prefix associated with perfecting a profession. The subscription rank will introduce a brand new prefix icon to add to the three in-game that older players already have and create an opportunity for more recently-joined players to customize their prefixes even further to stand out in in-game chats. I recommend that everyone look into it further as soon as it is officially revealed.

With this new subscription rank, students can show off all their flashy subscriber items to their friends while simultaneously investing in Potterworld’s future! This is only a small taste of what is to come with the new subscription rank and store releases this year, so count me in as the first in line to get a hold of this upcoming feature. I, for one, cannot wait to see what Potterworld releases next! From the return of Lacerum Incisis, to the new Meadow releases, and now the foreshadowing of a new subscription package, the only question I have left is: What will Potterworld do next?

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for any further news on the release of this subscription rank and remember to check out the store items! I heard that the Meadow Store Release was absolutely spring-tastic. Have a wonderful day! This has been Creme_de_Creme reporting for the Daily Diviner.

Blogging With Game Design
Editorial
Written by SnowyKitty
Edited by snotflower

Hello everyone, and welcome to my new blog post!... would be a cool article idea, wouldn’t it? While the Daily Diviner hasn’t hopped onto the blogging trend quite yet, another department has beat us all to it. The Game Design department has started to release Game Design Blogs with the aim of giving the community an inside look into the department! So far there have been two released with more promised in the future. The goal is to release at least one blog post per month. Each section is focused on a different Game Design team, written by the relevant team Lead. You’ll find news on recent and upcoming content, poll results from the Potterworld Discord, and ideas they’re currently discussing.

The most recent blog post, posted on February 20th, featured sections from the Unspeakable team and the Systems team (Curse Breakers). To start it off, there was some further information regarding the recently added Gauntlets. NSGaming, the Lead Unspeakable, discussed the goals and initial results from this new arena. Since its release at the end of January, the Unspeakable team has been looking out for bugs and other feedback the community may have. They’ve since pushed out a patch that has resolved many of these issues and plan to use this experience to create more Gauntlets and Dungeons! Not only that, but they featured the release of Discoveries, something we’ve all surely encountered by now. This is just the start of this new content, as they plan to expand and tie in more gameplay elements in the future.

Another exciting announcement from the Unspeakable team is that Reputations will soon be coming to every town! You’ll be able to complete activities throughout each town, such as cooking, herbology, transfiguration, and many other subjects. While XP is guaranteed, there’ll also be town-specific rewards, such as pets, collectables, and housing sceneries! They’re also working on expanding new questlines that’ll be more engaging and span over multiple regions, like Relics of the Past. To put the cherry on top, they’ll be adding a new town, Woodshire, and completely reworking the first-year experience, turning first-year quests into tutorial-based content.

As for the Systems team, they’ve been hard at work on redesigning our current spell system. Currently, you gain each spell by leveling up, with each spell being predetermined. You have no choice in the matter of when you obtain them. In a previous spell system, you would have a certain amount of choice in what spells you received and when. Every time you would level up, you would receive a spell point, and could select which spell you wanted, eventually getting all spells of that year before graduating. In a recent poll on the Potterworld Discord, players voted on which system they preferred. Based on these results, it was decided that the way we currently gain and learn spells will be reworked. You’ll have the freedom to pick which spells you get upon leveling up, like how it was previously. It was also decided that Key Spells, which interact with the world (Avomora, Lumen Aestus, etc.), will also be gained differently. There’s no ETA on when these changes will be made, so make sure to keep an eye out for more information!

As for me, I’m so pumped to see these features in action! I cannot express how excited I am for Reputations to be added. I’m hoping it'll be in a relationship-type sense, where we can gradually become friends with all of the villagers around the server. Just imagine if the Unspeakables went as far as to let us become romantic with them! Then I’ll have my own NPC partner I can show off to everyone!

Otherwise, I’m also looking forward to the year one rework. When I was getting back into the server this past summer, it was a bit confusing learning all the server mechanics again. It sounds like it’ll be easier for all players to get into the swing of the server with these upcoming reworks. Not to mention the overarching questlines?! I’m such a fan of the Relics of the Past quests and I’d adore seeing more content like them. And, just to make everything perfect, a NEW TOWN? Woodshire looks like a classy sort of town, and I’m so excited to explore it! Overall, I’ve been absolutely fawning over this upcoming content.

As you can tell, I’m very eager to see what the Game Design department releases next! Make sure to check out their monthly blog posts on the forums. They include more in-depth information than I provided here, so don’t miss out! Make sure to leave feedback and ideas on their blog posts so they know what you want to see next. Until next time!

The Revenant Gauntlet: A Review
Editorial
Written by ivyronincheez
Edited by LittleI

Hello lovely readers, and welcome back to the Editorial column of the Daily Diviner. In today’s article, we will go over the recently released Revenant Gauntlet and my thoughts on it. This will include going over the pros and cons of many parts of the Revenant Gauntlet.

The Revenant Gauntlet is an experience that allows players to return to the depths of the ruined Dark Follower Base and fight Zirxas. To access the Revenant Gauntlet, you have to go to the entrance of the old Dark Follower Base and speak to the Kyla Leveski NPC. The Revenant Gauntlet has pros and cons to it. The pros are that it brings something new to Potterworld for graduates to have fun with. The cons being that it is not accessible to everyone on the server, such as people who are not graduates.

The Revenant Gauntlet brings us four boss fights. The boss fights are The Enchantress, The Butcher, The Wraith, and finally Zirxas himself. My favourite boss fight is the final battle with Zirxas because this fight is split into two stages. It starts with Zirxas at regular size, then, halfway through the fight, Zirxas turns himself into a giant, making it a little harder to fight him. This is my favorite fight because the two stages make things more interesting. My least favourite boss fight is The Butcher because of the axes that come at you, which are challenging to dodge.

Along with the Revenant Gauntlet between the four bosses, some are easy, and some are hard. The easiest boss, in my opinion, is The Enchantress. There are three stages to this fight, but what makes this the easiest boss is the ranged spell attacks that you can do. The hardest boss, in my opinion, is The Wraith. This is because you are fighting The Wraith on a high-level platform above lava. When The Wraith sends an attack to you, you have the chance of being thrown into the lava.

Before you finish the Revenant Gauntlet, you have to help Kyla Leveski defeat Zirxas. The fight against Zirxas has its pros and cons. The pros of this fight are that it feels like a proper boss fight. You have two stages, one with regular-sized Zirxas, then one with giant Zirxas. While this fight has its pros, it also has its cons. The cons of this fight include some of the attacks were overwhelming, making it hard to fight Zirxas. All in all, the fight brings a conclusion to Kyla’s story in her fight against Zirxas.

My final thoughts on the Revenant Gauntlet are that it is a good and enjoyable addition to the server. I would definitely try out the Revenant Gauntlet whenever I get the chance. My hope for future gauntlets is that they hopefully tell a story just like the Revenant Gauntlet did. If you haven’t tried out the Revenant Gauntlet yet, I highly recommend doing so and earn yourself some really cool rewards. This has been ivyronincheez reporting for the Daily Diviner.

Potterworld’s Own Pop Star: Arianator
Student Spotlight
Written by joyellen
Edited by kvmw

Hello spectacular readers! Welcome back to the Daily Diviner’s Student Spotlight column. In this article, I had the great privilege of interviewing Arianator about his musical endeavours on Potterworld! For those who do not know Arianator, he is famous for in-game concerts hosted at his housing and the music he writes. Without further ado, let’s jump into the article!

Tell us about your musical journey on Potterworld! When did you begin hosting in-game pop concerts? And how many have you held?
I began hosting concerts at the end of 2019 for a Christmas show with my good friend Betsythebird. We've held around 8 shows all together since then!
How do these concerts work? Do you perform solely in-game or do you also perform elsewhere?
We have a Discord server set up where at the time of the event you can join, and you can hear us sing there and perform in game so that the music and the performance sync up.
Does it take a lot of planning to host these concerts? If so, do you enlist the help of others?
Sometimes it can, depending on what type of show is going on, and sometimes I do enlist the help of others. The two people who helped me the most during my times were Emily (Ralie) and Betsythebird.
Do your concerts have different themes? Or do you perform a specialised setlist?
Yes. Our concerts have had plenty of themes such as; Christmas, New year, Valentines, Quarantine, Coachella and plenty more. The setlist would always change and we would perform different songs and I would create different setlists according to the events.
Who are your biggest musical inspirations? And why?
Clearly from my username, Ariana Grande has been a very influential artist and I would perform mainly her songs at concerts with a different variety. Her voice is just talented and anything she can do she does it effortlessly.
Is making music challenging? And do you have a creative process you follow when creating music?
Making music can sometimes be challenging, yes. When I was writing Dirty Secrets I wrote it based on my times on the server with my friends! Normally what I would do for the process is find a beat I like and just start making up random lyrics, and then you can just easily make the rest.
What can Arianator fans—both old and new—expect in the future? Will we be attending any concerts in the future?
Well, I just announced my second studio album which is coming very soon, And yes concerts will be held in the future.
I would like to thank Arianator for partaking in this interview. It is exciting to have our own pop star on Potterworld! Be sure to check out Arianator’s music, which you can find here (please keep in mind that some songs may contain mature language), and to keep an eye out for any of his in-game concerts. This has been Joy, reporting for the Daily Diviner. Have a great day!

Do you know anyone on the server that stands out (cool housing, a museum, active in RP, do something cool outside of PW, etc.)? Nominate them here for a chance to be our next Student Spotlight!

An Arrangement of Different Irish and Holiday Recipes
Lifestyle
Written by bea_5OOOO
Edited by Littlel

Hello lovely readers, and welcome back to the Daily Diviner! March has officially begun, this brings both the upcoming start to spring and St. Patrick's Day, which takes place on the 17th of March. In order to get into the spirit of the season, I will be teaching you how to make a few different Irish and other St. Patrick’s Day pastry and dessert recipes.

Irish Soda Bread
The first recipe I have for you today is Irish Soda Bread. Irish Soda Bread is a traditional Irish bread and is delicious when served with either marmalade or Jam. This recipe is fantastic for readers looking for a scrumptious and familiar recipe that is still relatively easy to make. In order to begin making this recipe, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius). Following this, the bread is made using the following steps:
  • Gather four cups of flour, two teaspoons of kosher salt, a teaspoon of salt, and a teaspoon of granulated sugar, into a bowl. Make sure to mix them together!
  • Next, pour one and three-quarter cups of buttermilk into a separate bowl, along with one egg and two tablespoons of melted butter. If you don’t have buttermilk, you can always use whole milk and lemon juice!
  • After that, pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture, and stir the two together into a dough texture. Make sure not to overwork your dough. Overworking will cause gluten development, which will make the bread dense and chewy.
  • From there, take the dough and shape it into a ball.
  • Finally, transfer the dough ball into a cast-iron skillet or similar baking dish. You can now place the dish into the oven for thirty-five to forty minutes (or until the loaf is golden).
Mint Shakes
The next recipe I have for you is a much more holiday-themed recipe, Mint Shakes! As you may have guessed, the Mint Shakes are a tasty, peppermint flavoured milkshake. This recipe is perfect for those of you, who want a sweet, holiday-orientated dessert item. This recipe is made using the following steps:
  • To start, grab out a blender, and add in a pint of vanilla ice cream, a quarter cup of whole milk, a half teaspoon of peppermint extract, and a half teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Next, add in around 3-4 drops of green liquid food colouring, and blend the mixture.
  • Once blended, serve up the Mint Shakes. I recommend adding whipped cream on top and sprinkling green sanding sugar (this step is optional.)
Blueberry Scones
A group of Irish (and St. Patrick's Day) recipes wouldn't be complete without some type of scones, so for the final recipe, I present to you Blueberry Scones. Blueberry Scones are a crumbly pastry similar to the American biscuit, with blueberries mixed in. These scones are for those of you who want a sweet pastry that still holds the crisp, buttery aspect of scones. In order to make these scones, follow the following steps:
  • To start, make sure you have an oven preheated to four hundred degrees Fahrenheit (two hundred and four degrees Celsius), and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.)
  • Next, in a saucepan, combine three-quarter cups of heavy cream and a single bag. Place the saucepan on low heat until simmering. Then, allow the mixture to steep (or dry) for around five to ten minutes. Once this is complete, remove the teabag.
  • After that, grab out a large mixing bowl and mix in two and a quarter cups of all-purpose flour, a half cup of sugar, a teaspoon of baking powder, a half teaspoon of baking soda, and a half teaspoon of sea salt.
  • Once the dry ingredients are mixed, add a half cup of cubed (and cold) unsalted butter. Use your hands to mix the butter in until the mixture begins to turn into crumbles around the size of peas.
  • From there, stir in one egg, a teaspoon of vanilla, and the cream mixture you created beforehand. Make sure to keep mixing until it forms a dough-like texture.
  • Now comes the fun part, fold in around a cup of blueberries until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough. Once the blueberries are added, use a rolling pin to shape the dough into a disk (around an inch thick.) Then cut the disk into even wedges.
  • Finally, place the wedges onto the parchment paper-lined pan, and place them into the oven for around twenty minutes ( the tops should be golden brown once complete.)
These recipes are all enjoyable to make and delicious! I urge you to either go ahead and give these a try or even try out some of your own Irish (or St Patrick's Day recipes.) I do have one challenge to leave for you with, dear readers. My challenge is to try and bake one Irish-themed recipe, either from here or one of your own. Good luck, and like always, thank you for stopping by the Daily Diviner, and have a beautiful day!

March Store Release: Spring is Coming!
Lifestyle
Written by IChloe_
Edited by Calliequeen

Hello, fabulous readers and welcome back to the Daily Diviner! March has finally arrived, and with it, the blooming season of spring! We can finally pack up our winter gear and fish out our floral attire. To match the breezy season and flowering aesthetic, we released our March Store Releases. Let's go over a few of these exciting new items!

The Fawn
The first item on the list is the Fawn pet release. Spring is the time of year when fawns are born, deer emerge, and the weather begins to change. Seeing fawns signals the arrival of new life and that things are changing everywhere. Keep an eye out this spring- maybe you'll spot a fawn!

Homes for Gnomes Scenery
Next, let’s look at the Homes for Gnomes Scenery for housing. As we explore, we find ourselves in a grassy wonderland full of different kinds of flowers. This gives us hope that the cold weather and snow we’ve been dealing with these last few months will melt into a lush garden. The flowers symbolize the new growth in us and the nature around us, as we shed our old skin and become something more beautiful.

Cherry Blossom Staff
Moving on, let’s take a look at the Cherry Blossom Staff. This unique wand is a light brown branch with beautiful pastel cherry blossoms adorning it. Cherry blossoms come from the Japanese Cherry Blossom, also known as the Sakura Tree. These trees represent a fresh start, growth, and beauty. We can reason that this specific tree was chosen for its delicate properties and bloom in spring.

Overall Release
The March Store Release includes more than just the pet Fawn, Gnome Homes Scenery, and the Cherry Blossom Staff. There are also expressive spring-themed emotes, the whimsical Flower Death Effect, and the elegant Cherry Blossom Broom Appearance.

The Spring Emotes are just adorable with the range of new options available. Emotes like smelling flowers and petting bunnies, will brighten our spring and leave us all feeling bubbly inside!

Next up, we have the Flower Death Effect. With the mellow sounds of twinkling and the mystical fairies that float overhead, you'll be left in awe! Initially, a pastel rain of fireworks appears. We are then treated to a soft twinkling, followed by a circle of flowers. After that, butterflies and fairies float away. This beautiful and fun Flower Death Effect will be sure to add to your PVP experience!

Similar to the staff, the Cherry Blossom Broom looks like a branch with gorgeous pink leaves descending from its bristles. The handle is encased in a maroon-colored handle wrap. This beautiful way of transport will be a reminder of the lush growth all around us!

Overall, the March Store Release does a lot to help us transition into Spring. It lets us know that soon there will be warm weather and chirping birds once again. There was a lot of effort put into the new release by the Store Team, and I strongly encourage you to check it out. That is all this time, signing out, IChloe_ for the Daily Diviner.

Bulbitur Beautification
Original Works
Written by kvmw
Edited by snotflower

A loud bang rattled the greenhouse— pots and planters tumbled to the ground, the glass panes shuddered, and the third years in the middle of a lesson on Puffing Pods cried out. However, in the corner there stood a calm, beady-eyed girl scanning the room as the Professor hurried out to find the cause of the commotion.

With a satisfied grin, the girl snatched up a pair of dragonhide gloves from a table. Pulling them over her hands and forearms, she picked her way over to what looked like a large, thick, black slug with an awful, shiny protrusion hidden in a shadowy corner of the greenhouse.

“Slug!” someone squealed, cowering against the glass as she heaved the pot onto the table.

“Not a slug,” she said primly, “It’s a Bulbitur.”

A quiet gasp from one of her classmates made her cringe. She recognized the voice— Oscar was always answering questions in class, after all. “Olivia, that’s very dangerous,” he said.

“I know, I know,” she snapped. “Why do you think I’m wearing gloves?” And with a heavy sigh, she placed her hands around one of the swollen protrusions and began to squeeze.

The shouts of revulsion were immediate. As a miasma of petrol filled every inch of the greenhouse, students began to cough, burying their noses in the sleeves of their robes. Olivia powered on, filling bottle after bottle with the strange pus. Some of her classmates, simultaneously disgusted and entranced by her oddly satisfying routine, even came closer.

“Is this for, um, your acne?”

Olivia glanced up, her neck and face suddenly flushed bright red. Of course, Oscar knew. Sensing a sudden understanding within the room, her hands moved more quickly as she avoided the gazes of her classmates.

Olivia hastily squeezed one of the last swellings, only to find that a bottle wasn’t in her hand. The yellowish-green liquid splashed in a wide spray around her— the small crowd around her scrambled back, including herself, but an unlucky girl was caught in the shower and screamed.

“Jackie!” one of the people in the crowd shouted, rushing forward.

Large yellow boils erupted all over the girl’s skin, and Olivia watched in horror as the girl began to sob. The person who had rushed forward spun around. “This is your fault!” they shouted. “You chose to do whatever this is without permission, without supervision!”

“I—I didn’t mean—”

“You probably set off that explosion, too.” an accusing voice in the back of the class piped up. “You weren’t even a little scared.”

“Yeah!” another person echoed. “She went straight to that slug.”

Olivia opened her mouth to speak, but the words would not come out. She felt her hands, legs, and lips begin to tremble, but she held her head high. A thousand thoughts, none helpful, were running through her head—what could she even say? That it wasn’t her fault? (Lie.) That she didn’t mean it? (Excuses.) That she had been selfish, stupid, and foolish? (Finally, the truth.)

“Guys.” Despite how quiet it was, Oscar’s voice cut through the furious murmurings. “I won’t say it’s not her fault.” Derisive snickers erupted in the crowd. “But Olivia didn’t intentionally hurt Jackie—she isn’t like that. Remember how she tutors us when we’ve missed a class? Doesn’t she clean the common room every night? And don’t her compliments make you feel like you’re on top of the world?” The room had gone quiet. “We’re all human. We make mistakes. Olivia made one today, but that doesn’t make her a bad person.”

No one spoke. When Olivia cautiously looked at her classmates, only Oscar returned her gaze. “I’m sorry,” she said, crying as the words finally came to her. “Jackie—for hurting you. Oscar… for not listening to you. To everyone, for causing you so much trouble for my own gain. I—”

The door to the greenhouse opened and the professor suddenly loomed in the frame. “Good news, students! Nothing to worry about—just some fireworks a mischievous student set off.”

The students stared.

At last, Olivia spoke. “Um, Professor? Jackie’s hurt. She needs to go to the nurse.”

“...Oh dear. I was hoping that hadn’t happened.” Bustling forward, the professor bent down to examine the girl. “Yes, yes. Bulbitur pus, nothing the nurse can’t fix.” And, hoisting Jackie to her feet, she added. “Oscar, escort her to the nurse. Hurry!”

“Now, Ms. Wilson.” Olivia snapped to attention. “There’s no need to explain—happens quite regularly, in fact.” The professor’s gaze turned serious. “However, my dear, there was no reason to go to such desperate measures. I assure you, the nurse has enough for all you self-conscious teens. I’m glad you’re alright, though. But, Ms. Wilson, I’m afraid I must give you detention.”

She bowed her head. “I understand, Professor. I apologize for setting off the fireworks and for trying to handle the Bulbitor slug on my own.”

“Very good, very good.” Patting Olivia on the back, the professor smiled. “Now, back to your stations! Those Puffing Pods won’t grow themselves!”

“Yes, Professor,” she dutifully said and returned to her seat.

A Puffling Case
Original Works
Written by ohKeira
Edited by kvmw

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

A grandfather clock ticked away in the Care of Magical Creatures classroom, counting down until the class would begin. It was quickly drowned out by the fourth-years tumbling in as seats screeched across the floor and quills propped up to begin taking notes.

“Now now, class! Settle down…” A voice boomed over the rowdy students so that they fell silent.

The professor’s eyes drifted to a young boy with his head down on his desk. “Mr. Kaster?”

The boy’s head shot up. “Huh? Oh…yes, sir?” he mumbled with his hands covering his eyes.

“Brandon, what did I tell you about sleeping in class? I thought detention would be enough. Clearly, I was wrong—”

“No! I promise, no more sleeping,” Brandon interrupted with his best pleading eyes. He added a smile to the mix, hoping the professor would buy it.

The professor hesitated. “Fine, consider this your last warning.”

Everything after that conversation was a blur—at least to Brandon. The minutes slowly ticked away, and he managed to catch a few words like ‘animals’ and ‘pink’.

“What kind of animals are pink? Pigs?” he said to himself. A pale hand gave him a gentle poke in the shoulder which brought him back to focus.

“Don’t want to get in trouble again do you?” she chuckled. “Rose. I think we’ve talked before.”

Brandon’s cheeks flushed. “That wouldn’t be good— Brandon. Nice to officially meet you.” He gave Rose’s hand an awkward shake and turned back. Before he could regain his bearings, students were rushing to the professor’s desk.

“Come and choose your Fluffle Puff companion!” the professor yelled over the excited chatter. Brandon looked back to find Rose’s chair empty. He let out a sigh and ran up to the desk.

“Sorry, professor. I wanted to make sure everyone else got to choose first—” He was interrupted by a high-pitched squeal from the creature in front of him. It seemed almost like a stuffed animal, but with beady eyes and messy pink fur.

“It’s alright, just keep a closer eye out” the professor responded, and carefully reached down to hand Brandon the Fluffle Puff.

◭◭◭
The courtyard is usually a relaxing place to be. In fact, nothing seemed out of the ordinary until you took a peek under one of the tables.

“Jimmy! I told you to get out from under the table!” Rose shouted to the Fluffle Puff taking a nap on the floor. “You are supposed to be well-behaved…” she grumbled angrily as she stood up.

“Rose! How are things going with the Fluffle Puff?” a girl asked as she sat down on the bench. Another squeak came from under the table, and a little head poked out through the tablecloth.

“Jimmy!” Rose sighed and reached down to pick him up. “The professor said this was one of the easiest to take care of. Does this seem easy to you, Shannon?”

“Well, not really, but—” Before Shannon could finish, Jimmy leapt out of Rose’s arms and scurried away.

“Jimmy! Heel!”

◭◭◭
“Pinkie, sit! Come on!” Brandon grumbled, holding a book on taming creatures in one hand and a treat in the other. Pinkie rolled onto her back with a derpy smile. He sighed and reached down to pick her up, only for her to start nibbling on his robe.

“Brandon! I need your help!” a panicked voice cried out. He turned around to see Rose, her face bright red and dripping with sweat, with Shannon trailing behind her.

“Rose? Is everything ok?”

“Jimmy! Jimmy is gone!”

“Who?”

“The Fluffle Puff!”

“Ah, I named mine Pinkie. She’s super well-behaved, other than the robe nibbling—” Brandon motioned to the shredded ends of his robe.

“Not helping—we need to find her, now!” Shannon hissed with her arms folded over her chest.

“Fine, fine. I’ll help. Let’s go.” Rose and Shannon nodded, and the trio set off to find the lost Fluffle Puff. They checked everywhere: the Quableball Court, the Care of Magical Creatures classroom, and even the Great Hall. No luck. The group wandered back to the courtyard in defeat.

“We are never going to find him,” Rose wailed as she sat down at the table. ”And I am going to fail this class!”

“Don’t say that. We aren’t going to give up yet.” Brandon gave Rose a weak smile and took a seat next to her. Just as Shannon was about to join them at the table, she paused.

Riiiip.

“What was that..?”

The three looked around, only to find Pinkie tearing at the tablecloth on their table. Brandon reached to take it away from her, only to find—

“Jimmy! You found him!” The Fluffle Puff woke up and groggily hobbled over to Rose. She picked him up and gave him a gentle hug. “Thank you so much Brandon and Shannon.”

“Don’t thank me; it was all Pinkie.” Brandon grinned. “I guess we don’t need to work on the nibbling now.”
