Recent Events
The search for Henry Chimera, the Dark Baron who recently escaped from the Dark Prison, continues. As is publicly known, the dangerous murderer has been on the loose for the past week. A group of Phoenixes and Aurorlocks believed that he was in a meeting in the Dark Follower Camp, and the group gathered to go to the Dark Follower Camp and capture him. However, when they arrived the only people there were Nyx and Allan Varulv, who both denied any knowledge of Henry’s location. The group then went to Hektor’s housing, where they found all of the entrances were blocked off, leading them to think that Henry was somewhere inside. With no way to get in, they waited outside to make sure that nobody got out. Eventually, Joel Mortemcare arrived and was able to use magic to break into the house, beginning a search for any evidence. Hektor was found before he apparated away, meaning that Henry was likely also there before escaping in the same way. Allan was then revealed to have been the one who previously alerted the Dark Followers to the group arriving at the camp, and was taken in by the Aurorlocks for further interrogation. Allan has since been arrested for his actions.

There have been multiple attempts to free Allan from where he was imprisoned in the Phoenix Refuge. After failing to make the Phoenixes release him, Dark Followers Maddy and David Hawthorn captured High Phoenix Mallaidh Callaway and brought him to Maddy’s prison. There, they tried to exchange Mallaidh for Allan. However, this failed as they were able to break out Mallaidh while keeping Allan locked up. The Aurorlocks present attempted to arrest Maddy for her involvement, however, they didn’t succeed.

On February 12th, Yumei Fireheart arrived at the Phoenix Refuge and received news that Ivy Seymour-Rosencroft was kidnapped by Aaron Liadon. It wasn’t long before two Dark Followers showed up at the Refuge to cause some trouble, which led to a fight and ended with them getting captured. After Yumei took their wands and put them in jail, she and Kenna decided to plan a deal. In exchange for the Dark Followers’ freedom, they would have Ivy Seymour's freedom. Kenna sent an owl to Aaron Liadon about the deal, but when Aaron replied, he only gave hints of Ivy’s whereabouts. Together, Sofia, Lauren, Ariel, and the assistance from Phoenixes (Kenna and Yumei), formed a search party and began their search at Aaron Liadon's house. Once the group arrived at the house and searched the place, they discovered a secret underground prison underneath a well. Within the underground area, they found Aaron, as well as an imprisoned Ivy. Kenna quickly stupefied Aaron and Ariel disarmed him, while Sofia and Lauren released Ivy from her cell. The group returned to the Refuge, and Kenna tended to Ivy, who sustained minor injuries during her capture. In the end, Yumei stayed true to her word and released the captured Dark Followers.

Lots of back and forth drama occurred with the Woodlyn family this past week. It appeared that Monique Woodlyn, who is River, Will, and Anna’s cousin, stabbed and almost murdered River. After this incident, they were also knocked out by Isaiah, a Dark Follower. A few days later, they were injured by the same Dark Follower. Will Woodlyn was also kidnapped and tortured by Monique. Arabella Pendragon, the Phoenix Embersage, found her freezing in the rain after this incident. Similarly, Anna Woodlyn was also captured and tortured and has gone blind in one eye due to the damages. Monique’s sister, Sophie, was also captured and nearly murdered by Monique. We are unsure of how the Aurorlock forces are responding to this obvious threat, but even so, Monique Woodlyn is a highly dangerous person and should be reported to the Aurorlocks if found.

On Saturday the 13th, ex-High Phoenix member Max Fireheart was promoted to the Council of Cinders with the title of Sunseeker. He had served in the High Council as a High Phoenix for nine months before his promotion. Multiple Phoenix members attended the ceremony, and it ended with no surprises.

Interviews
This week, our reporters interviewed Sam on the escape of the Dark Baron, Henry Chimera.

Q: How was Henry Chimera, the Dark Baron, being guarded at the Dark Prison?

A: The Dementares were guarding Henry at the Dark Prison, with help from me and some other Aurorlocks, specifically Llama.

Q: When were you alerted after Henry escaped?

A: About five minutes after Henry’s escape, Llama, an Aurorlock, contacted me through owl. After I was notified, I quickly rushed to the Dark Prison, only to find an empty cell, and no leads on Henry’s whereabouts. It turns out that he escaped right in the nick of time.

Q: Do you know how Henry managed to escape the Dark Prison?

A: We can only suspect how he managed to escape, the current rumor is that he used a dementare. However, there is no concrete evidence for that, and we’re still working on trying to find leads for his actions.

Q: What were the counter-reactions from the Aurorlock's forces after Henry escaped, and what is being done to catch him now?

A: I myself have led multiple search parties and groups of skilled duelists to hunt down Henry. Unfortunately, we’ve had no luck. Many notices have been put out to the public, and everyone is advised to report any leads on his whereabouts.
