Thread Prefixes and Sub-forums for Feedback and Suggestions

I think that the Feedback and Suggestions forums could use some type of sorting out so it could be easier to identify where each submitted thread falls under in relation to General Server, Games, Housing, Events, Store Suggestions, etc. And to add to that, use Thread Prefixes (this forum is running xenforo, right?) to show the status of each thread (Under Review, Declined, Completed, etc) similar to how it was done through Uservoice. There could be multiple options to sort the Feedback and Suggestions forum out with these two ideas too.

Thread Prefixes
  • I'm assuming that this forum is using xenforo because it has similar features and having prefixes to show the status of each submitted idea on the Feedback and Suggestions forum would be easy for players to identify if an idea is being worked on or declined. Forum staff would be able to adjust the prefix as it progresses through the review-in progress-decline-complete phases.
  • Another idea for Thread Prefixes is to let the player that's submitting the thread to set their own prefix that's related to what the idea falls under. Their options could be: General Server, Games, Housing, Events, Store, Other, etc. Although, if this idea is chosen it would probably be easier to have sub-forums to place each idea into the Under Review, In Progress, Declined, or Completed sections.
Sub-forums
  • If using Thread Prefixes doesn't seem like the best way to sort thread ideas out (general server, games, housing, etc) then maybe make multiple sub-forums for the players to choose where their ideas can go. The Sub-forum names would be similar to the Thread Prefixes options for players: General Server, Games, Housing, Events, Store, Other. If forum staff sees that a player submitted a thread in the wrong sub-forum then they should be able to move it to the correct one.
  • Another idea is to just have four sub-forums that are related to status of the submitted idea. The sub-forums could be Under Review, In Progress, Declined, and Completed. Only forum staff would be able to sort the threads out based on the status of each thread.
Overall, I think it's a good idea to use a combination of thread prefixes and sub-forums for the Feedback and Suggestions forums. Also, it was said that there were nearly 1000 Uservoice submissions, so it would be nice to see some sort of organization and structure within the forum before another 1000 players submitted ideas start rolling in.
