Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Application Updates
Magiventologist and Seer applications have closed, so those who have open applications will receive responses soon! The Media department has opened Performer applications. So, if you're interested in performing in Potterwatch videos or streams, be sure to check them out, as well as our other current open applications!

SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTSThe recent Time Traveller's Store Releases brought the world of steampunk and clockwork to life. With the Clockwork Staff, the Clockwork Broom, Clockwork Aviator Hat, and the Pet Clockwork Robot, you can spice up your style with brass gears and goggles with wings! Be sure to check out these wonderful additions to the store!
GAMEPLAY UPDATES
We'd like to officially introduce players to our Game Design Blog! There, players will be given an inside look on the Game Design department's projects. In the future, we plan on releasing more Gauntlets after the Revenant Gauntlet, introducing Dungeons, and introducing a new version of Talent Trees. We also explain the reasoning for these changes and additions in the "Lessons Learned" and "What Now?" sections of the Game Design Blog, so feel free to check it out!
The Game Design department has released its very first Gauntlet, the Revenant Gauntlet! Gauntlets are instance-based battles that you can join and play with up to 5 people. They give Gauntlet-specific rewards, such as new gear pieces, and more! They also released the Discoveries system, which allows you to explore the world to find new places, and unlock their backstories. There are 176 of them, so be sure to search all over if you want to find them all!
The Seer team is excited to release Stage two of The Hunt, which will conclude Chapter Two of the Roleplay story! In The Hunt, you can help your fellow players complete challenging puzzles to uncover the thrilling story. To learn more about the event, enter the room behind the mysterious door in the Roleplay Hub and speak to Madame Florence.
COMMUNITY UPDATES
After two months, the 2021 Season 4 Arena Champions were crowned. The magical community has been competing in Dueling, Sledding, and Flying Challenges in hopes of becoming one of the champions. In the Flying Category, Invisibilia flew into first place, our Dueling Category Champion was tillyrawr, while our Overall Category Champion was jennrawr! Congratulations to all of the champions!
The Inquisitorial Squad kicked off the new year with the January Community Engagement events, which were themed around Winter Fun. There were various activities available, such as "Across the Ice," where players had to skate across ice to fix the weather, and "Snowy Showdown," where players stood on an ice platform and attempted to knock each other down until there was only one left standing!
We're excited to introduce a small change to our "Head of House" role, to our new "Housemasters" team! This new team is a revamped version of the prior role, who will be actively working together to bridge the gap between our team and players through house pride. We can't wait to see what they have in store for our houses!
The Arena team had another amazing round of tournaments this past month, including the annual Sledding Tournament! Congratulations to tillyrawr and llamiinq on flying their way to victory in the 2v2 Flying Tournament, and congratulations to MagmaC4 and EdenLovesMommy on battling their way to the top in the 2v2 Dueling Tournament. For the 3v3 Sledding Tournament, we'd like to congratulate Invisibilia, Expiroces, and ColaCinema on their epic win! Thank you to everyone who participated, and we hope to see you in next month's tournaments!
