WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Summertime has been going strong this season at Potterworld, and it’s only getting better! The Store Team has released the latest store drop which is all sunlight-themed. Included in the Sunlight Store release is an adorable pet Corgi, an enchanting new Shimmering Broom, a sunny Summer Wand Effects, and a dashing Captain’s Hat that’ll leave you wanting to sail the seas. Check out these store releases on the official Potterworld Store, or in the in-game store.
Get ready to explore new horizons as this quarter’s map rotation brings a fresh batch of exciting destinations! Among the highlights, be sure to check out the revamped Mundane Lane, which promises a thrilling challenge. The seasonal Underwater map will transport you to an aquatic world, while the returning Sewers and Magical Schools maps offer a return to nostalgia. Don’t miss the Grimlotts Vaults, a fan favorite, and the debut of Hogsworth Adventures! With so many new and returning maps to discover, there’s something for every player’s taste. So, gear up and dive into the adventure!
Welcome to our Arena 2024 Season 3 Releases! We have exciting announcements about our Arena Maps and an update to the Arena Token Shop. Explore the new Arena Training Rooms and enjoy a series of Quality of Life (QoL) updates. Our Arena Maps continue to receive improvements, including updates to Flying, Dueling, and Seasonal maps, with more enhancements on the way. The revamped Arena Token Shop now features updated visuals, a new layout, and a way to view your balance. We’re thrilled to introduce the Arena Training Rooms, where you can practice dueling skills solo, with mob dummies, or against others. QoL updates include a new “Warm Up!” feature for Dueling Challenges and ongoing fixes for issues like the Plasma Showdown health glitch. We’ve also revised Quabbleball Tournament schedules to be held quarterly and are considering custom player teams for future tournaments. Thank you for your feedback, and enjoy the new season!
Droobledore himself called upon the community to reveal the plan for Potterworld moving forward at the halfway mark of this year. Not only has the server built a community of incredible people and team members, but it’s thrived for over 10 years! With that being said, the motivation and constant release of new content has pushed our headmaster to a different road, and we’ll be heading in a different direction going into 2025 to help out the stability and health of our staff team. We’ll be finishing out the 2024 year with our regular events such as the Butterbrew, Halloween, and Winter Waltz events. Expect the release of some content going into the new year, just at different intervals than previously expected from our teams. It’s a difficult change not only for our teams, but for our community as well, and we thank everyone for their continuous support as we go through these changes. Don’t fret though, Potterworld isn’t going anywhere! As for our headmaster, we wish him the best going forward with an exciting new project fueled by creativity and new paths. Make sure to be on the lookout for more information and announcements for the server going forward!
We would like to extend a huge congratulations to Chailey (Chail3y) and Noah (NSgaming) on their well-deserved promotion to Heads of Game Design! With years of dedication and exceptional leadership under their belts, they’ve consistently impressed the team with their creativity and innovative approach to crafting engaging content. As former Leads of the department, they’ve successfully delivered over a dozen events that have delighted Potterworld players. As Heads of Game Design, they’ll continue to shape the future of the game, bringing new and exciting experiences to the community. We’re thrilled to see what masterpieces they’ll create next!
The Media & Public Relations team was excited to welcome a new branch to the media family… the Store team! With these changes, the Store team and the current Media team will be working even closer than before with all of the sub-departments. The hardworking Tang (Tangular123) will be continuing in her position as the Store Team’s Lead as well as her leadership positions within Community Management! The team will still be releasing hidden coupons and other releases and seasonal sales throughout the year, so make sure to keep an eye out for further updates.
GAMEPLAY UPDATESThe latest patch is packed with exciting updates, including Tommy Riddle’s 40 new riddles for higher-level players, a variety of new books in the Library, and the introduction of a Trolley Lady on the Hogsworth Express for sweet treats! We’ve improved accessibility with Quick Buy NPCs in every town and a skip option for all parkour quests, plus the Magic restrictions in Grimmane Lane have been lifted. With more Fast Travel locations, new spells like Enfurio, and enhanced teleport effects, there’s plenty to explore. Don’t miss the full announcement for all the details, and a huge thank you to the GD team for their hard work in bringing these enhancements to life!
Following the release of Potterworld’s 10th Anniversary Event, the competitive spirits of our community were unlocked with a multi-school competition! The wait for the results is finally over, and it’s time to congratulate the most dedicated schools and students. The first place school was our very own Hogsworth with a huge lead! Hogsworth students, make sure to claim the Anniversary Champion wand effect in your /me GUI! Following behind was the beautiful school of Mahounoshiro in second place, and the powerful Dormunstrad school in third. A huge congratulations to the other school’s placements, which you can find on the official forum announcement. That’s not all though; it’s time to give a big round of applause to each school’s top contributor! Dismana, lykkee, and ColaCinema took the lead for Hogsworth, Mahounoshiro, and Dormunstrad, with BlagdenCZ, xNyn, SynonymsForSky & government_h, and _xNadine following behind for Beauxbois, Castelomagia, Silvermorne, and Ecole du Monde Occulte. These eight contributors should be making sure that they’ve received their own exclusive Droobledoll Hat for their hard work! Congratulations to everyone who participated and celebrated Potterworld’s 10 Years of magic!
An anomaly has weakened the barrier between worlds, allowing Delphine Lune to reach out from the 9 Hells, seeking assistance to thwart the demons once more. The 9 Hells Gauntlet has been re-released for magic users level 71 and above, with Larissa Morgan in the Riddleyard Graveyard ready to guide you. Each boss now features new abilities and increased power, adding more challenge to your battles. Wolfgang uses diverse music genres, Vultureus wields devastating storms, Oceanus manipulates waves, Iskulde summons Ice Giants, Osirisar seeks your soul for Anubis, Nycta hatches indestructible Dragons, Bellok controls flames and lava, Sidera accesses powerful Runes, and Ageros commands additional spirits. Each boss rewards you with 2 Soul Essence, now capped at 200 and redeemable in our updated Soul Shop. Accelementum, the long-lost spell, has returned with modifications and can be learned for 200 Soul Essence. Additionally, new Daily Activities have been added for the Gauntlet, available on Fridays and Sundays. Are you ready to answer the call?
COMMUNITY UPDATESCongratulations to BlagdenCZ, zZalt, and government_h for being crowned the champions of Overall, Dueling, and Flying categories respectively in the 2024 Season 2 Arena at Hogsworth! Additionally, a big shoutout to the top 6 players who made it to the leaderboard, including kingf0s7, xNyn, Deathlish, and HarryPotters, who have all earned 50 Arena Tokens for their outstanding performance. A huge thank you to all participants for their hard work and dedication - keep up the fantastic work and let’s look forward to an even more thrilling season ahead!
This season was packed with action as contestants raced through the skies and fields in our July 2024 3v3 Dueling and Flying tournament! We’d like to congratulate the Flying winners; Dismana, TallBlondeDude and WHENITGETSDARK, and the Dueling winners; SmellyLilBro, jacquas and Buthane. Huge shoutout to all participants, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next competition!
