SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTS
It's finally time to welcome the exclusive Curators Team, as well as the arrival of new and exciting Expeditions! The creation of this team was influenced by the want to bring our wonderful Potterworld community together by hosting engaging activities, much like our previous Inquisitorial Team. This being said, Expeditions, or live events held in servers much like classes, will be available for all players to join! By partaking in these activities and games, players will be rewarded with "badges," as well as the opportunity to get your name on a scoreboard to show off how many of these events they've attended. At the moment, Curators will only be part of the existing staff team, but that doesn't mean you can't leave feedback and suggestions as this team takes a test-run. Make sure to check out the schedules for expeditions on the official forum announcement, and we hope to see you at these new events! If you have any questions as the Curators and Expeditions take off, please feel free to reach out to the Community Management leadership team.
The much-anticipated Faeries Club has finally come to Potterworld! Joining the Werewolf and Vampire clubs, the Faerie Club has been created to show off some of the winged, yet adorable, pranksters. To celebrate the arrival, all Fairy-themed items were 30% off! Some of the new and adorable items for this club package include a stunning pink and blue Faerie Prefix, Faerie Website Tag, as well as a matching Discord Role for the official Potterworld server. For more in-game cosmetics, the Faerie Wand Effects, Faerie Wand Names, and Faerie Charm Spell will all make their way to your collection upon the purchase of this package! Some of our older items have been combined with our delicate fairy wings, allowing you to don two stunning and magical cosmetics at once. As another surprise addition, a new Werewolf Howl Emote has been added to the Werewolf Club Package for all our wolfy players! For even more celebration, a specialized Fairy-themed Magical Creature Studies Class was hosted on five separate occasions to allow players to learn more about these mischievous munchkins. As always, feel free to check out this package under the New Releases category of the store, or preview the items in the in-game store. Happy shopping!
This year, as spring approached, the Store team celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with their annual St. Patrick’s Store Releases, bringing a touch of Irish luck to wizards and witches! Fans could adopt the mischievous seasonal Pet Leprechaun, wear the festive seasonal Leprechaun Hat adorned with a four-leaf clover, and wield the elegant Staff of Luck. The seasonal Lucky Wand spread magic and fortune, while the St. Paddy’s Day Emotes featured fun actions like giving a four-leaf clover and searching for gold. This delightful collection was available until March 31st, being a great way to start off spring with a smile!
COMMUNITY UPDATES
March 15th was a busy day for the Academics Team, who dedicated 8 hours to teaching some of our server’s most exciting classes! Some of these subjects included the iconic Potions, delicious Magical Cuisine, and other engaging learning materials! Students who attended at least four out of the eight classes were able to receive a special reward in the class lobby for their hard work and academic achievements. Let’s give a huge thanks to the Academics team as well as the students who took the time to attend! Make sure to keep an eye out for more events like this moving forward!
The official Potterworld Wiki has been out for a while now, helping players left and right with various quests and other adventures! Now, the chance to make your contribution to better the content of the Wiki has arrived! If you've ever wanted to include some secret or exciting knowledge about some of your favorite areas on the server, tips for quests of all kinds, and miscellaneous guides, the Scribe Team's new update for player contributions is just for you. In order to contribute, you must follow some steps such as creating an account, in order to edit certain pages and make new ones! The Scribe Team will be going through all edits requested to be made, so make sure that your text follows the Potterworld rules and remains appropriate. It's also recommended to view the Editing Help page published on the forums, and reach out to members of the Scribe Team for any questions. We hope you enjoy this new feature, and we can't wait to learn even more about the content of the server through our community's eyes!
The Scribe Team is back with another update to the Potterworld Wiki, showcasing new pages as well as updates that have been implemented since the last patch notes. What's more exciting is that this is the first set of patch notes released since the new feature allowing players to edit the wiki! Firstly, some of the new pages include previous event information of all kinds, as well as various locations around the server such as Doc's Door-to-Door Medical Clinic, the Tomb of Hattori Ayumu, and the Remains of the Battle of Eldham Ridge. That's not all, though! Make sure to check out the wiki for yourself to explore all of the new editions. As for existing edits, pages including various server locations in relation to past events have been added, as well as more information for different types of gear. There is far more than that, you really must check it out yourself! We'd like to thank all the players who made contributions to the wiki since the new release, and the Scribe Team hopes you enjoyed these patch notes this time around.
It's time yet again to take the time to congratulate our extremely talented and hardworking tournament winners! As always, let's start off with the 2v2 Flying Tournament; congratulations to buddy365 and Dismana on taking the win. Moving to the arena, a big round of applause to ASAPSerg and buddy, yet again, on winning the 2v2 Dueling Tournament! The 2v2 Rafting Tournament made a reappearance this month, with M_Engel and HarryPotters taking victory in this aquatic event! Of course, we can't forget the winner of the exciting Quabbleball Tournament, sergquas; congratulations! If you see any of these players, make sure to congratulate them on their various victories.
