WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Delve into the world of the magical with the Mystical Store Releases! The Store team has released five new items and a bundle made up of items from previous store releases. These new releases consist of the enchanting Spellbook Warp Key, The Electrifying Wand, a spellbinding Raven Warp Key, a trendy Bucket Hat, and Cowboy emotes! The highly suggested Clockwork Bundle was also introduced to the store, which features the eccentric Clockwork Aviator Hat, The Clockwork Staff, and Clockwork Broom. Be sure to live out your mystical dreams and check out these releases today!
As hectic as the month of May may be, we still love to find time for classes here on Potterworld! In honor of the server’s anniversary, every year we hold a 24 Hours of Classes event! During this event, classes are scheduled back-to-back at the start of each hour, for an entire day. This year, it was held on Saturday, May 20th, and featured classes like Astrology, Mythology, Wandlore, and our beloved Wiz PE- as well as many, many more! We’d love to give a special thanks to our professors who taught these classes- this couldn’t have been done without them! If you see ElizabethTheToad, KiraTheHouseElf, oceqn, DarktheDino, Aglyn, jake_ft, AviannTheBird, Taramite, Creme_de_Creme, or CleckShock on the server, give them a huge thanks for teaching the amazing classes that were offered for this event, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for next May’s 24 Hours of Classes event!
In May of 2014 Potterworld was released and Droobledore’s amazing and creative ideas came to life. 9 years later and the magic continues to grow! In honor of this exciting celebration Potterworld created a few magical rewards to share as well as brought back some old ones from previous celebrations! New rewards and decorations are available to purchase in the Great Hall Courtyard until June 10th.
Mayday! Mayday! The 2023 Star Battle Tournaments crashed landed in Hogwarts for this years May the Fourth Event! Individual minigames such as Star Battle: Escort Payload, Star Battle: Domination, and Star Racing all held Tournaments during the month of May! Each of the Tournaments commenced from Thursday May 4th at 12am PST to May 31st at 12pm PST. Placements were viewed on the Tournament page or they were available in-game near the Millennium Falcon on planet Batuu. Rewards were given to the winners for their hard work, such as Temporary Champion Prefixes, Potter Points, Purple and Gold wand effects, Arena Tokens and much more were all featured during this event! Special thanks for everyone who competed, we can’t wait congratulate the winners!
Thanks to the Arena Team for a wonderful Mid-Season Release! With June rapidly approaching, two new maps have been added following the pride theme for our adrenaline-seeking players! To celebrate the release of the upcoming Pride Event release, the Arena Lobby has been appropriately decorated! Pride-themed Hubs are next on the list, so make sure to keep an eye out for those in upcoming challenges. Why don’t you go take a look at the Arena Token Shop? Season items have been rotated and some new as well as old items have been added!
GAMEPLAY UPDATESThanks to the Game Designer Team for their most recent gameplay update. Changes made this update focus on travel around Potterworld. First, there will no longer be a cooldown applied when utilizing warps in the Warp Key Bag. Along with that, the Fire Dust Network located in different towns is now free to use! Therefore, the physical Fire Dust item is no longer needed for travel and is being phased out and Fire Dust is now available to trade for gold using a House Elf near the Fireplaces. Safe Travels!
The Millennium Falcon has finally arrived May 4th, and will be inviting students to explore planets in far away galaxies, such as Batuu, until June 1st! To start your journey speak with Kevin in the Great Hall! There are newly added Quests, Minigames, Repeatable Gameplay, and Rewards like colorful BB8-Droids to enjoy! This also includes a brand new map for the Star Battle: Escort Payload a PvP minigame with 2 teams, and side quests that can be completed every 12 hours! These events would not be possible without our amazing Staff team, we thank you! Don’t miss out on new adventures, May the Fourth be with you!
COMMUNITY UPDATES
Congratulations to the winners of the April Quabbleball Tournament! We'd like to congratulate Frebii and TallBlondeDude for taking home the gold medal for first place, followed closely by Skyvbean in second place. A special mention goes out to Sergtheferg and Ratpaw for their impressive performance, finishing in third place. Thanks to all players for participating and making the tournament a success. Keep practicing and we hope to see you in next month's Tournament. Well done again to our winners!
Let’s give a huge congratulations to the talented victors of the May 1v1 Tournaments! To start, give a round of applause to the speediest flier around, TallBlondeDude, for taking 1st in the Flying Tournament! Of course we can’t forget to congratulate one of the toughest duelers around, jacquas, on a job well done in the Dueling Tournament!
