Hey everyone,
I wanted to discuss how suggestions are handled. As of right now, I think that you can only make suggestions thru forums and then theres this whole process for it. I think someone else talked about this same thing before, but I believe they focused on the forum process.
This thread is more about the other ways of making suggestions, specially in game. I dislike how most of the staff members usually avoid talking about any form of suggestions in game and just direct us to this place. And then we wait to get a generic message that our suggestion is being reviewed, and then after months we get the final decision. There's a huge lack of communication. That's why I believe that a in-game suggestion making would be way more efficient.
So here's my suggestion, add a in game command similar to the /t create (maybe /s create) where we would shortly describe our idea. Then a staff member, preferably the poltergeists (I think they work with suggestions, not sure) would pick it up just like they would do with a ticket. The idea would be discussed and polished, and then it either gets declined right away or the staff member passes it on to the rest of the team so that it can be reviewed.
I truly believe this would speed up the process, it's better overall since there's a live conversation going on and staff get to fully understand our idea, they can ask questions, they can modify the idea with you on the way...
I know that with this, there would be lack of other students giving their opinion- which for some cases isn't always necessary and of course, the forums would still be a thing. If a staff member believes that the idea should be put out like that - there could be a way to make this feature public, in game? We could have a suggestions chat in game where suggestions would pop up as a broadcast message and then people can discuss under it.
And lastly, it would motivate people to give their feedback because sometimes, even when we have great ideas, we just don't have the willingness to put them onto forums.
