I was suggesting something like a spawn egg that places it for you. The player wouldn't need to use armor stands or item frames or anything, just buy it and place it like a normal block. I've seen furniture spawn eggs done before with just vanilla commands so I'm sure it's possible.

I 100% agree with everything you said. I'd like to add that all of the mobs seem to have the exact same AI. They run towards you and occasionally teleport to you, and that's it. I haven't seen much variation at all. It would be cool if the winged mobs could actually fly and not just walk around...

I just think it's more fun when there are other shops around you to compete with. Also there's more RP in walking down an alley looking at all the different shops than just doing a command to visit them. I think the housing is great but I figured it would be used as housing instead of shops.
