Oh oops I misunderstood from the Q&A. I just asked around and gear will actually be physical items, but although they will be tradeable they will have level requirements so lower levels can't get OP gear. Also super powerful gear will be bound :D

Ah, I see what you meant by your questions. I assume that profession items will have level requirements to be able to use them and/or the items will not be able to be traded or sold as they could be abused by lower level players. This was not explicitly stated in the Q&A but I'm sure there will...
