Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of December 19th, 2021! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. This week's assignment is "Magical Business - Florentine's Ice Cream,” created by Toad (ElizabethTheToad).
The assignment is as follows:
Florentine's Ice Cream is a small shop located in Diagonal Lane across from the wizarding bank, Grimlotts. The parlour is family-owned and is currently being run by both Mr. and Mrs. Florentine. They sell a variety of sweet treats, however, they are famously known for their ice cream. Though the storefront is small, the ice-cream parlour has been a staple of Diagonal Lane for decades.
With the colder weather, Florentine’s Ice Cream’s profits have taken a hit. Mr. and Mrs. Florentine are searching for a new, magical flavour of ice cream to feature in their shop. What flavour do you suggest to them? What makes it magical?
