Academics Weekly Assignment — October 17th, 2021

Welcome to the Academics weekly assignment for the week of October 17th, 2021! These weekly assignments will give our Professors the ability to showcase some of their lesson ideas here on the website. Each assignment will be posted for a week, in which everyone will be able to read about the topic and respond to the assignment prompt. This week's assignment is "Magical Career Exploration - Unmagical Expert,” created by Arne (tqrpiar).

The assignment is as follows:
A common job in the wizarding community is an Unmagical Expert—a wizarding member whose focus is on Unmagicals and Unmagical studies. They educate themselves and the community on how Unmagicals go through their daily lives without the use of magic.

Unmagical Experts figure out how technology, electricity and science work and how well the Unmagical community works with their technology. Even the smallest thing such as pens are rather unknown to the wizarding community!

They’re required to have an H.A.T. exams—exams students have to do in their fifth year—and S.M.U.G. exams—exams in their seventh year—on Unmagical Studies to truly be considered an expert.

If you were a Unmagical Expert, what would you educate yourself on the most and what would interest you the most about the Unmagical community?
