Greetings witches and wizards!

It's time for our Arena 2023 Season 3 Mid-Season Release!

Map Additions: We have added a new Rafting map to our Rafting challenges and brought back an old Dueling map to the Arena Halls!
NEW - Under The Sea Rafting Course
RETURNING - Spleef Dueling Arena

Arena Token Shop: We've rotated out our seasonal items and have added some old and new items! This includes a new exclusive hat, an exclusive arena music item, and a new rafting-themed emote.

General Arena Updates: Here are some general changes we have made to how we operate.
  • Tournaments now give out Arena Score - the Arena Score only counts towards your Overall Season Score. It does not add to the Dueling or Flying Arena Score.
    • Why did we add it?: We had received feedback from players for this to be added, especially as people work just as hard to win during a challenge as they do for a tournament. We agree and decided that Arena Score should count towards a person's seasonal score.
  • We now give out gift card codes instead of Potter Points for tournament rewards
    • How does that work?: If you win a tournament, you will receive a book through the mail with a gift card code to the Potterworld Store from an Arena Advisor, Lead Arena Master, Assistant to Head of Academics, or Head of Academics. If you have not received your gift card code within 48hrs, please reach out to Arena Leadership.

What can I look forward to in the future?

We are currently working on adding some new dueling challenges. We have received a lot of feedback regarding how newer players struggle to get into Arena due to feeling like they can never compete with older Arena players because of the skill gap. While we are actively working on assisting people through Arena101 posts, next season we will be adding a dueling challenge that is an attempt to even the playing field between players. Afterwards, we are looking into creating some more tech-heavy dueling type challenges such as Capture the Base and Hunger Games! We have already begun work on both of these challenges, yet have run into multiple problems to figure how to get it to work without code. So far, we have been successful, yet each issue does cause more delays in getting this released. Additionally, the team is a lot smaller than what it used to be, which means less manpower to work on completing these projects. If you want to be a part of brainstorming and creating these projects, we recommend that you apply for Arena Squire to help!
