can i only join using the minecraft launcher?

i have a minecraft account on my pc but dont have a launcher,i tried using blc and found out it is a not allowed on the server.
who do i join? pls help

You can join the server using the official minecraft java edition launcher that you can find here https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download.

Once you have minecraft downloaded, you can select version 1.12.2 on the launcher which is the preferred version to use for Potterworld. You can follow this guide to select that https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us...hange-Game-Version-for-Minecraft-Java-Edition.

After that you can join the server using the following tutorial https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360035131391-How-to-Play-Minecraft-Multiplayer under the "
Playing on an Online Server" section to learn how to join minecraft servers.

The IP for potterworld is "play.potterworldmc.com".
