First of all, I think that when hovering over people in /guild view, you should be able to see their total donations. There should also be a proper GUI designated to the bank, allowing for personal, efficient and detailed depositing of gold.
Within this there would be an icon in said GUI that would allow you to see your personal deposit in the bank. When clicked there would be a few options.
1) To set your deposited gold to PERSONAL: This would mean that no admin could withdraw it (default)
and
2) To set your deposited gold to COMMUNITY: This would mean that any admin could withdraw it
There could also be an option here to have ANYONE be able to withdraw it (but I think that would be quite useless). Either way, the values would add up to the total Guild Value / Gold amount.

The ALTERNATIVE to this (which I think may be better) would just make it so that Admins cannot withdraw any gold that is not theirs at ALL. Though this may seem to make the Bank redundant, I have some suggestions below that I think would be a good way to encourage players to add to it and give it true purpose.
Also. another icon in this Personal Deposit GUI would be the ability of an invidivual to withdrawn their deposited gold at any time. This makes it far less risky to deposit gold as not only can you set it to PERSONAL (where no one but you can take it), but you can also withdraw it at any time (in case the guild becomes inactive or you have a change of mind).
However, currently there is not much incentive to store gold in the bank so I propose the idea of Interest Rates. This would allow you to deposit a certain amount of gold (say 50) and then in a few weeks time take out something like 55g (obviously on a bigger scale this would mean a lot more). The interest rate of gold could be dependent on the activity of guilds and if there were to be quests / dailies added to the guild menu in the future, these could increase the daily / weekly (not decided yet) interest rate. This inspires people to both deposit gold and to be an active member of the guild.
Another addition could be that admins could spend the Guild Gold (Personal or Community) on upgrades for the whole guild. These could activate certain daily quests or give housing benefits or certain banner / naming perks - the options are rather limitless, especially if guilds began to become more linked to the towns around the map.
TLDR; Add a GUI for the bank and allow people to easily withdraw and manage gold they deposited whilst also adding interest rates in guilds to promote adding to the overall bank. Donations should also remember their donor so when a guild disbands / a person is kicked their donation is retrieved.
Gold in a guild could be used for housing/banners/ranks/towns/unlocking daily quests/collectables and other stuff directly relating to that guild.
Please keep in mind this is a collection of suggestions which I felt all fit together enough to make one post for (and because I kept adding to it), so if people and poltergeists want to review it, please review ideas as independent from each other if there are disagreements with certain parts.
