If someone donates money into a guild then no one, not even the admins of the guild, should be able to take it out. Leave that gold there indefinitely and let it stay when the guild dies off or disbands.

what? first of all, it would be unfair to remove it now, without PLENTY of advance warning, since people have put their gold in there assuming they can take it out and it would be ridiculous to suddenly take that gold away. Secondly, there is currently no use for the guild gold, so it would be pointless since nobody would ever contribute knowing that they couldn’t get that gold back, even from the leaderboards.
We know that minecraft players are unreliable, and that’s why shared things never work as well in minecraft as they do in real life. If a guild were to be disbanded, nobody would be happy with all the gold disappearing. The only potential benefit could be deleting gold to try to bring down the economy, and that is definitely not the way to do it because nobody would be happy with this change and it just deletes gold. That would definitely anger so many people, especially those who didn’t know that they could get it out (after all, ‘bank’ does tell you that it is retrievable).

Heya @Somnambulist and other that replied to the thread!

Unfortunately, this suggestion has been declined. This is not something we would like to do for guilds, as we would not like players to not be able to get their gold back when contributing it to the guild. The guild bank is considered use at your own risk, and players need to decide for themselves how much gold they would like to put in and if they would like to/be willing to contribute that gold. Additionally, players might want to claim the gold they put in the guild to use it for other purposes. As mentioned above, players have already put gold into their guilds and it would be unfair to take away the option to withdraw it without waiting a substantial period of time.

Regardless, thank you for your suggestion and I hope you have a magical day!

Since it's "use at your own risk" then it should be fine for an Admin to withdraw all of the guild's gold and keep it and leave the guild, right?

Hi!

So, there is no rule against that specific situation, since players make donations to the guild itself. Moreover, admins should be trusted to handle the gold placed in the guild bank. In the end though, it is a guild owners choice on who they choose to have as admins in the guild. If members of the guild for any reason do not wish to donate money to the guild bank they don't have to do so.

I hope that explains it a bit. Have a lovely day!!
