Note: Town Claiming isn't a done deal so this suggestion is purely speculative.
Deniz mentioned town claiming a few days ago on Discord and people in the #Guilds chat have been going over how town claiming could be done.
One person brought up what would happen with smaller guilds if a larger guild was able to stake a claim on a town indefinitely?
The idea is to have town claiming limits so a Guild won't be able to stay within a town for a long time, limit how many towns they can simultaneously claim, and offer a reward if a town is claimed for a certain period.
If Town Claiming got competitive between Guilds, there could be some type of endgame where each town gives a town trophy and Guilds would collect all 20 to get a larger guild reward. If guilds were capped at 3 consecutive weeks and 2 towns max, this competition could last between half a year to a year.
If a Guild decides to claim 2 towns simultaneously, then I think there has to be a way to make owning a second town really hard to maintain. If the Objectives in town 1 are easy, then town 2 would have to be twice as hard - like 100 cakes for town 1, but 1000 cakes for town 2. Though it might get confusing if this Guild is trying to takeover a claimed town and objectives might be different for both guilds on that same town. Maybe make it so that if a town is unclaimed and a Guild wants to claim this second town, it would be twice as hard to claim - but if a guild wanted to claim another guild's town then the objectives would be the same for both guilds. Or just scrap the two town max and let guilds only claim 1 town only.
These are only speculative ideas right now since town claiming isn't official, but if you guys are in a guild and have ideas to make guilds interesting then definitely make suggestions!

- The claiming limit could be capped at 3 consecutive weeks and 2 towns per guild at the same time.
- Add a 1 week cooldown before claiming a second town.
- The Guild would have to successfully complete the town Objectives - maybe making it progressively harder as each consecutive week passes?
- They would have to avert any town attacks from other Guilds - Possibly cap how many attacks a Guild's Town can take within a week - maybe 3 a week? Have an attack cooldown so one guild can't just continuously target one town - 48 hours maybe?
- Once they reach the 3 consecutive weeks, they would be blocked from reclaiming the town for 1 week.
- If they are successful at claiming a town for the 3 consecutive weeks, they would get a town trophy or some type of Guild reward.
