Hello Potterworld Community!
I have a few suggestions for future class ideas. Along with my application for Class Helper with the intention to eventually rise to Professor - I would be more than happy to teach these classes or to help put them together in functionality. I really want to utilize my skills as a professional branding and marketing specialist and longtime MMO/RPG gamer to help grow this server because it is really amazing, and with the growth and future potential I see in the trajectory of this platform I want to be a part of making it better and helping it grow and spread as one of the best servers on Minecraft Java in the eyes of the general public, not just the community that has found and played us so far.
My first class idea, we'll call it Magical Creature Defense Studies. This class I actually got the idea from either Chloe or Ema, both amazing professors on this server, with a field trip class they did for Magical Architecture recently. Basically, we would either teleport out into the wilderness to cover where you can find a certain mob and the best spells to take it out - or we would spawn one in a controlled classroom. Each student would have a chance in groups of 5-10 to battle down these creatures and learn the best way to take them out as well as where to easily find them in the wilderness. This gets them comfortable with that wilderness zone which is important with the upcoming travel changes and open world systems. The students can also be given a class broom for easier navigation if we are able to teleport out into the actual wilderness location or a classroom copy of it - however that works in the system. This will get players used to that environment and the daily mob quests they can complete in them to earn that valuable XP and level up in their years. The name could be something else - but the concept is there. To learn the best ways to battle down each of the mobs in the game. There can be different combinations, large groups vs on big one, all kinds of variations and with you guys constantly adding mobs that is built in content expansion right there for the class.
My second idea is also inspired from this field trip, and it also aligns with getting players used to manual travel and how to get to things using their standard means of travel. We can call the class Wizarding Navigation 101. The class would be exactly as the name implies, it would be a navigation course and sort of a guided tour on areas showing where everything is and teaching players how to reach popular locations without resorting to quick travel. Understanding how things are connected, the paths, going on chest runs, finding towns in the wilderness from the start zone, there are all kinds of locations that could be used. Getting to popular spots like the Chamber of Secrets, the famous Sorcerer's Stone location. Showing how to locate teleport locations. The possibilities are very open ended here, and I would LOVE to be able to spearhead these new classes.
My third idea is a class called Advanced Dueling Tactics and would take place in a new classroom that could be in the Room of Requirement as well which would basically be the Dumbledore's Army location with the dueling strip (the long platform that they stand on, take the steps - turn and duel) duplicated to make between 7-10 of them with invisible barriers that separate the lanes so that spells can't cross over and affect someone in another duel. This would allow for one on one duels where the professor, hopefully me but it could totally be someone else as well, observes and calls out what is being done that is good or bad to help actually teach the community how to get better at dueling and understanding when and why to use certain spells. The current duel class system is fun, but it's mostly just survival of the one with the best spells so up and coming witches and wizards aren't able to really compete much and it just becomes a long wait for your house to be called to get almost immediately killed in a huge ball of lag and craziness. This would have them start in the middle, a notification would come on screen to take the steps to their spots and then would tell them to turn around and begin their duel. This would also support Revelius with the new spell tier system coming and the change in how that talent system works to upgrade your magic and improve your abilities.
I hope you will consider these sincerely as a lot of thought and effort has gone into putting this together. Please, if you disagree or don't like the ideas tell me why instead of just brushing it off - and if you like it, please explain what you like about it and why you'd like to see it happen so I can have that knowledge available if I am able to get onto the staff team. Looking forward to potentially helping grow ideas like these and giving the community something fun and new to do.
Thanks for Your Time,
