Potterpoint suggestion

Really sorry if this has already been requested but I'm 90% sure I remember there used to be an option to trade your potterpoints for gold if you didn't want any store items but it isn't a feature anymore and it kinda sucks because I have 4k potterpoints and nothing to spend them on since I already have all the store items I want. So I was wondering if you'd be able to add that feature back since I personally don't see any problems with it and I think it's a fair reward for people that earn potterpoints if they choose to buy gold with them

Hello @CherryBud! Thank you so much for creating this thread! We as a team and the staff team overall love to see the ideas and thoughts players have that they bring to us on the forums.

Looking at this suggestion, this is not something we would like to do, and I will explain in detail why the Leadership Team has made this decision. Many of the players who receive potter points get them many times from winning tournaments (there are a group of people who are really good at dueling/flying and end up winning most times), meaning that certain people would end up getting a lot of gold from this if it were to be added. This would affect the economy, as well as the fact that players are generally more likely to spend gold. When players win tournaments, they already receive a fairly large reward of gold, and sometimes competitions may come with a gold reward too, so we feel that players then being able to convert potter points into gold on top of that is a bit much.

Additionally, staff and team members receive potter points because of their contributions and their time spent working on the server. We give them the opportunity to change potter points into gold because of this, and because of the decreased time they may get to actually play on the server due to the work they do on it. We feel that allowing players to receive gold from their potter points might diminish the value of this.

Due to the above, we will unfortunately be declining this suggestion.
