Hello! Today I am suggesting a forfeit command for Quabbleball. This command could be /ff or /forfeit. It would require a certain majority of your team to be willing to forfeit, and if the vote passes, it would end the game and your team would be charged with a loss and the other team would win. This vote would appear in chat once triggered by someone and then would continue until it passes or fails. Many popular games such as Valorant and League of Legends have this. There are certain games that are not winnable, for example, your passer/searcher crash or are AFK, and you physically cannot score. It then becomes a waste of time to wait for the full length of the game timer. After talking with other members of the QB community, it seems that this is something that people definitely want, so it would be a great addition! Thank you for reading and considering my suggestion.

Yeah, I understand when there are games that end up with a team without a passer or searcher that the game ends up seeming like a waste - but I notice that players will either back down a bit or practice and keep playing if they are bruisers or a defender against other passers.

Plus, how would the gold rewards work out? The team with the most goals should obviously get the gold, but the team that forfeits shouldn't, right? Or do both teams get the respective gold amount depending on their standing? Can this also be abused to shorten a game just to get a quick gold reward too? Or should there be no gold rewards at all - just the win-loss added to the game stats?
I think the first option - team with most goals get gold, team that forfeits doesn't - would be the better choice, but If that's the case, I would still be concerned about whether this gets abused just to get quick gold.

i’m not such a fan of it being only a majority instead of the whole team, but i’m also unsure which would be better idk. which would overall be a better option?

Greetings, @Charcole and others that contributed to this thread!

Thank you so much for the suggestion and all the opinions on it! Unfortunately, this suggestion has been declined. While we can understand that these situations can be frustrating, we do not believe there is a need for a forfeit command since Quabbleball games typically only last a few minutes. In addition, players can choose to use the /leave command.

We hope you understand our decision and have a fantastic day!
