The leaders of the allegiances quickly showed up at Longbay Landing. Some had the intention to free the captured Dark Hand, others to bring them to justice and some to take the bounty for themselves. The Phoenix Embersage before long noticed a suspicious potion, quickly discovering that it was unstable. She enlisted the help of the other allegiances, who all had to work together to complete the three objectives. 1) rescue Sara and Henry from their cages, 2) evacuate the citizens and 3) lower the potions range of effect. Just as the group were about to flee from the town, the Dark Mistress remembered hearing of a secret collection of potion ingredients that could help completely calm the potion. Vampire Queen Chailey left to go and get them despite the danger, who was quickly followed by Count Aure. The potion exploded, and only the Queen returned. Faced with Aure’s death, the group got into a tense argument where they blamed each other before they all left to go their separate ways.
