Back in 2021, we took a short stroll down from our beloved school to the magical village of Hogsend which hosted the Butterbrew Event that year.
The streets were decked out in the traditional hues of white, orange and brown in celebration. Tents, stalls and tables filled the area near the Broomsticks Inn, bringing even more life to the village.
One could be entertained by one of the many activities available, such as the minigames Butterbrew Parkour, and the Honeysweets Maze, or by one of the repeatable quests Order Up!, and Pie Baking Contest. The vendors were not in short supply of collectables for those who wished to trade in their tokens for memorabilia, either.
The Butterbrew Carnival was hosted in 2022, bringing us back to Hogsend for the festivities.
Like the previous year, the traditional Butterbrew colors were displayed everywhere for all to see on tents and stalls, on table umbrellas and on banners hanging overhead, letting every visitor know that they were in the right place for Butterbrew-themed activities.
High Top Hop and Trapeze Trouble were the new minigames this year among older haunts such as Brewery Bound. Other new activities consisted of two competitions: the Brewing Battles and the Petting Zoo, allowing carnival goers to help out well-known breweries compete for the title of Ultimate Brewmasters, or to get the rare opportunity to feed magical creatures for a chance at House points!
Last year, we traveled much further for our Butterbrew celebrations, heading all the way to Appleby Village. With the added addition of purple to the traditional colors of the festivals we came to love, visitors could play Balloon Darts, participate in a Food Eating Competition, and check out an adorable Plushie Farm at the event.
Minigames and other repeatable side quests were also available to keep you entertained for hours on end. At the end of the day when your pockets were full of tokens, the vendors were on hand for some special collectables to take home.
These were only some of the Butterbrew Festivals we have been to in the past, and they are not the last either. If you listen close enough, you can hear the telltale signs of stalls being put together and the sweet smell of butterbrew drifting through the air.
There is a buzz in the air in anticipation of what is to come. We here at the Daily Diviner cannot wait to see you there, so gather your friends and make space in your pockets, the Butterbrew Festival is on the horizon!
