Hello there! You look a little lost. Don’t worry, I understand the feeling. The Butterbrew Festival in Hogsend can be quite the overwhelming sight! I can help show you around to lessen your fears. As a longtime resident of Hogsend and the owner of a stall here, I would be happy to give you a small tour. Follow me!

As you can see behind you, the outside of Hogsend is closed off this year, allowing you to focus more on the best our town has to offer. We spent a lot of time draping those streamers across the roofs, and those tables were lovingly decorated in the traditional butterbrew orange. Feel free to grab a tankard of butterbrew and rest your feet.

Looking to your right, you can find the Buttership games stall, which is run by Willow. You should ask her for more information about the Buttership games!

Just behind that stall are the brewing stations, which will be an important location when it comes to making your own butterbrew.

Moving on to the heart of Hogsend, you will find plenty of stalls selling a variety of items to commemorate the 2024 Butterbrew Festival. At the center stall, you can speak to the News Seller and find collectables and exclusives. Take a long look through the available items later!

Past here is the Minigames Master, someone you will be seeing often. Here, you can find all of the parkours, mazes, and droppers your butterbrew-loving heart could desire.

Just beyond the Minigames Master is the Broomsticks Inn… You might not be able to enter it just yet, but after speaking to Kevin, stop here right away to help out in the restaurant with your fellow students!

Finally, there are a lot of activity booths set up across town. We already passed Balloon Darts near the entrance, which is the ideal activity for those with perfect aim. Next to the Broomsticks Inn is the Food Eating Contest full of delectable delights to taste. Lastly, at the very end of the festival decorations, is Dino Dig, a personal favorite of mine this time of year. Be sure to check all of these out on your own time.

That seems to be all I have to show you. From here, you should speak with Kevin near the entrance to get started with the festivities this year. Thank you for listening to me prattle on about our lovely town. I have to get back to my stall; I hope you have a fantastic Butterbrew Festival!

Welcome, readers of the Daily Diviner, to another festive fall edition! As the crisp autumn air is on the horizon, we are thrilled to announce the return of the beloved Butterbrew Festival at Hogsend. The carnival is back in town, and with it comes an array of delightful activities and games that everyone is invited to play. Join me on a journey through the wonders of this magical event, and together, we will discover which attractions might just become your favorites this season.

Everyone has the ability to earn Game Tickets from the carnival games and Event Tokens from the various activities to purchase exclusive rewards throughout the festival. The festival will run until September 21st, so make sure that you get all of the tickets and tokens you want before it ends.

At the Butterbrew Festival, the Broomsticks Inn buzzes with excitement and activity as crowds pour in. In “Order Up - Butterbrew Edition,” everyone will have the option to team up to assist Barry in managing the rush. You will cook, serve customers, and clean up after them in a fast-paced, 5-minute shift, available every 30 minutes. If you are looking to find yourself working during the festivities, this might be the perfect activity for you.

Returning from last year’s festivities, Rory, Casmimir, Ellie, and Willow are eager to showcase their four exciting activities: Balloon Darts, the Food Eating Competition, Dino Dig, and Buttership. Each game offers a unique experience, ensuring a little bit of fun for everyone. You can jump into these activities any time, as long as you have enough Game Tickets. These tickets not only grant access to more games but also allow you to purchase exclusive rewards at each activity’s shop, where a variety of unique and themed prizes await. Make sure to collect enough tickets to experience all the fun and claim your favorite rewards.

Among these activities, my personal favorite is the Balloon Darts game, as I’ve always loved the thrill of popping balloons to win prizes.

The Minigames Master invites you to explore a mix of old and new challenges within the festival, offering a fun twist on classic favorites. Whether you are diving into the giant butterbrew in Butterbrew Plunge, soaring through butterbrew in Brewmaster’s Flight, or navigating the tricky Butterbrew Bandit Maze, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. You can also test your agility by hopping through the Brewery Pantry and Brewery Bound. Completing these minigames will not only give you a little bit of satisfaction but will also reward you with Event Tokens that can be spent on exclusive festival collectables and items.

Personally, the Butterbrew Plunge dropper is my favorite. There is something thrilling about trying to hit at the correct spot at the bottom, and the satisfaction of finally making it makes the whole thing worth it.

As we wrap up our look at the Butterbrew Festival’s exciting activities, we have explored the festive experiences of working in the Broomsticks Inn along with various activities and minigames. Each activity brings its own unique thrill and fun, offering plenty of opportunities for everyone to find their favorite thing about the event. Thank you for taking the time to read my article, and I encourage everyone to play through all of the exciting gameplay and create your own memorable moments within the event.

It is time for the annual Butterbrew Festival once again, Daily Diviner readers! The festival is being held in Hogsend this year, and there will be plenty of wonderful games and activities to explore.

The most important part of any festival, however, is the food! Today, I will share three delicious fall and festival themed recipes you can make at home. I will also include Unmagical instructions in case you wish to make these recipes with your Unmagical family members or simply want to try something new.

Remember, if you are a child, make sure you have a trusted adult help you with these recipes. No matter your age, be sure to follow kitchen safety guidelines–make sure your cooking space is clean, cook your food all the way through, and be careful when working with knives and heat.

The first recipe is for a pumpkin spice latte, which is very yummy and will help keep you warm… Just be sure not to drink too much caffeine!

First, put 1 cup of your choice of milk into a small pot and use a mild heating charm (or heat it over medium-low heat on the stove) until the milk is completely hot, but do NOT boil it.

Boiling milk cooks it, getting rid of the flavor that cold milk has, which you want to maintain. Hot milk will maintain its flavor as it’s not cooked, just warmed. It also avoids accidentally burning your milk, which is easy to do if you are not careful!

As the milk heats, make 2 ounces of espresso (or ½ cup of regular brewed coffee) and pour it into a large cup. To the cup, add 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree, 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup (or to taste), 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, then stir it well.

Once the milk is heated, take it off the stove and froth it until it becomes foamy, then pour it into the espresso mix. You can use a charm for this, or if you are in an Unmagical household, you may have a mechanical milk frothing tool. Another option is using a whisk or fork and very quickly whisking the milk. However, this can take much longer, takes more physical effort, and won’t achieve the same foam effect or volume.

If you cannot (or do not want to) froth the milk, simply add it to the cup of espresso mixture flat. It will still taste great! It just depends on your preference.

Finally, you can top your pumpkin spice latte with whipped cream and extra pumpkin spice, then enjoy!

The next recipe is my absolute favorite: butterscotch chocolate chip cookies! While making these cookies, you can follow the recipe here, or you can alter the chocolate chip cookie recipe you normally use. This recipe makes 3 dozen cookies, so unless you have lots of family or friends over to eat them up, you can reduce the recipe to only make a half or a third of the amount.

First, cream 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup softened butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a large bowl, using a mixing charm, a hand mixer, or a stand mixer. Then add 2 eggs and stir until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon until well combined. Then, turn the mixer on low and slowly pour in the whisked dry ingredients until the two mixtures are just combined. Make sure not to mix for too long! Overmixing can make your cookies flatten and become dense due to excess air in the dough.

Next, chill the dough using a charm, or refrigerate it for 30 to 45 minutes.

While it cools, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Once the dough is cooled down enough to be firm but still malleable, it’s time to add in the butterscotch and chocolate chips! Stir in 5.5 ounces of butterscotch chips and 5.5 ounces of chocolate chips.

Then, spoon out a large teaspoon and place it on the baking sheet with about an inch of space around it so the cookie has room to grow. Do this for all of the dough, and then bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Once the cookies are finished, let them cool on the tray for 5 minutes, and then serve!

The last recipe is a carnival classic, the caramel apple. You should ONLY make this recipe if you have adult supervision. Hot sugar and candy can be VERY dangerous, to the point that you might have to make a trip to St. Merlin’s Hospital. Be very careful while making this treat.

To start, make sure you have 4 granny smith apples. They must be granny smith, or another type of firm, tart apple. The contrast between the tart apple and the sweet caramel is what makes caramel apples so yummy! Wash and dry them thoroughly, then push a popsicle stick into the stem part of the apple about 1 to 2 inches deep. Then, set out any desired toppings like sprinkles, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, marshmallows, or anything else you can think of into bowls and set them aside.

To get the melted caramel, put 11 ounces of soft caramel candies into a small saucepan with 2 tablespoons of water and heat it over medium-low heat. Be VERY careful with this, and preferably only have an adult do this part. Make sure to stir the caramels often so they don’t burn. You cannot overstir the caramels, so feel free to stir it constantly while it heats. The only difference is that it might take a little bit longer to melt all the way. Keep the caramels on the heat for 12 to 15 minutes or until the caramel is completely smooth.

Remove the caramel from the heat carefully, then quickly coat the apples with it by holding the stick and lightly tilting the pan so the caramel pools on one side, then dipping the apple in. You can also use a spoon to put it on the apples if the pan is not deep enough. Then, if you want other toppings, dip the caramel apples directly into the bowls of toppings you prepared. Finally, place the finished apples on a lined baking tray and cool them until the caramel is cool and solid on the apples (or until you are ready to serve). Now you have a yummy carnival treat!

Make sure to keep any apples not eaten immediately under a cooling charm or in a fridge, and make sure they are eaten within 2 to 3 days of making them. Breaking the skin of the apple to insert a stick exposes the inside of the apple to air, and if left at room temperature or uneaten for too long, there is a risk of listeria growth. Food safety is important, so be careful.

Have you ever seen any of these at carnivals before, and can you find any similar foods at the Butterbrew Festival this year? I hope you try and make these at home and enjoy them… Though if you make them all at once, it might seem like a lot more than just three recipes! Whether you try only one of these or all three, make sure to share your hard work with your friends and family, or better yet, have them help you make them. Food always tastes better when you share it with people you love!

Welcome, readers of the Daily Diviner, to another festive fall edition. To celebrate the return of the butterbrew festivities on Potterworld, we are going to take a look at some of the various locations on the server that would be perfect for hosting a party all about this event. Join me as I explore some butterbrew party possibilities and discover how you can make this year’s festivities unforgettable.

Butterbrew festivals focus on harvests and the celebration of produce, and Portstead offers the perfect farming ambiance for your celebrations. Settling on a hill overlooking the sea, the residents rely on farming for their livelihood, using enchanted scarecrows to protect and harvest crops. Each autumn, both Portstead and Edgebrook celebrate together with a feast of fish and vegetables along the road between the villages.

Farming is one of the core elements of this celebration, making it an excellent spot to host a butterbrew party during the fall season. With its vast landscape and strong sense of community, Edgebrook provides a charming and sensible backdrop for any party.

Edgebrook can be found within Great Britain by broom or on foot near London.

Appleby Village was founded in the early 1600s by Blythe Appleby, a former Hogsworth professor who established an inn and began growing pumpkins to support his business. To save his struggling inn, Blythe started selling Pumpkin Punch to travelers and teaching summer business classes to children, gradually attracting more settlers and developing the area.

With its charming historical roots and rich community spirit, Appleby Village is an ideal location for a butterbrew party. The village, named in his honor, has become widely known throughout the magical world. It also has a history of hosting fall festivals, where villagers and visitors alike enjoy Pumpkin Punch and celebrate the annual harvest.

Appleby Village can be found near Hogsend, best reached by flying on a broom.

If you are looking for a butterbrew party by the sea, you may be interested in checking out Portstead. Portstead, founded by magical fishermen who discovered and took advantage of the area’s unusually large fish, began as a simple outpost but grew into a bustling town due to its lucrative fishing market. Portstead is now known for its thriving market, featuring unique shops like Adela’s Pumpkin Juice Stand, which offers a local favorite and perfect fall treat. The town’s rich history and vibrant market atmosphere make it an excellent location for a butterbrew party, celebrating its heritage and local products.

Portstead can be found alongside the southeastern coast of Great Britain, and it can be reached by flying with a broom or walking from nearby towns like London.

As we wrap up our tour of potential butterbrew party locations, we have explored the unique charm of Edgebrook, Appleby Village, and Portstead. Each of these towns has its own unique charm and offers a delightful backdrop for your celebrations. Everyone is invited to throw their own parties, and we hope that you get some great ideas from these places.

Personally, my favorite pick for the best place to host butterbrew festivities would be Appleby Village. Its rich history, charming pumpkin treats, and festive atmosphere make it the perfect spot. Remember to enjoy the Butterbrew Festival in Hogsend, and thank you for taking the time to read this article.

The Butterbrew Festival is the perfect place for anyone to get lost, whether it be among the clamoring stalls and crowds, or within their own thoughts. It comes as no surprise, then, that Graham found themself again only after stumbling across the well-stocked cheese curd stand. Meandering through one’s own mind as well as the festival can work up an appetite.

They reached out one hand for a greased-up bag with a gold coin in the other before they could truly comprehend how deep into the festival grounds they had gone in search of their friends.

With squeaky fresh curds in hand, they rounded the corner and entered the lane of snack stands, eyes scanning the unfamiliar faces of passersby. With each swivel of their head, they came across pieces of their friends. A blonde mop of hair here, a pealing cry of laughter there, but there was no Aria or Fitzy.

Instead, there was only a looming, fuchsia tent that appeared like a bright pink island in the middle of a churning river of bodies. “Fortunes for Gold” was splayed on a haphazardly hung sign directly over the swaying entrance of beaded strings.

Graham made their way towards the gaudy structure. Festivals were for losing yourself after all, even if it was in the falsities a stranger could sell you.

The smell of incense and patchouli inside the tent was a sharp contrast to the greasy, fried air outside. The woman sitting across from Graham was smiling up at them with a hand already held out in search of payment.

As she began about all of her showmanship, burning a stick of incense and calling out for guidance, Graham sat back and appreciated the show, popping curds into their mouth.

It wasn’t until the woman’s eyes rolled back, and her shoulders slumped that Graham felt alarmed. Reaching out to grab her arm and shake her, they jumped when she gripped their arm instead, whipping her head to face them.

“Before festival’s end, you will be betrayed by that which you love most.”

Graham escaped the tent soon after, not keen to hear any more creepy words of foreboding from the strange woman. Luckily, outside, her sister and best friend were just passing by.

“Graham! Thank Merlin you’re here. You have got to stop abandoning us anytime you get bored of a stall. You know, a lot of these vendors spend years perfecting..” Aria chided them for a while longer, but Graham was just pleased to see something, someone familiar again.

Fitzy merely shook his head, and lifted up the impromptu map they had made on the first day of the festival, pointing out all the best rides they could hit next.

Despite the casual comradery, Graham couldn’t help but think back to the ominous premonition the fortune teller had given. How could either of these two, their closest companions, ever betray them? Why would they? … When?

Their wild train of thought was derailed when they found themselves at the bumper cars, already in line with their friends.

Whipping the miniature vehicles around the track was exhilarating, and the wind rushed into Graham’s lungs as they chased their sister in single-minded sibling rivalry.

Just as they rounded the corner, their peripheral vision caught Fitzy, perfectly perpendicular to them and speeding ahead, just moments before a crash.

But right when Graham thought, This is it! Fitzy whipped left and smashed into Aria instead, successfully pinning her right as the bumper cars ran out of power.

Graham let loose a breath of relief as they clambered out of their car and tugged Fitzy into a bone-crushing hug. Fitzy would not betray them after all. Still, that left Aria, and she was none too pleased after being targeted by her younger sibling and best friend.

They came across what felt like a thousand more stalls, each with their own specialty, and the tension was just starting to seep from Graham’s shoulders when the group ran into Aria’s old secondary school friends.

“Oh my gods, is that you, Aria? You look fantastic!”

After five minutes of squeeing and cooing over one another’s growth, Graham became sullen. After all, they were supposed to be enjoying the festival with just the three of them, and Aria was bound to either invite the newcomers or sweep off with them.

Pouting at what was surely another betrayal incoming, Graham wandered off to the next stall, already grouchy.

Much to their surprise, only a moment later Aria and Fitzy were right by their side, tugging them arm in arm towards the next attraction.

“You’re not off to hang out with them now?”

“We still haven’t done the mirror maze; don’t be absurd.”

The festival had begun to dwindle by the time they made their way into the maze. Some stalls were already packed up, and the line was short enough that they could really feel alone in the contorting chambers.

Twisting each way to see how many of themself they could see stretching into eternity, Graham made faces until their cheeks ached. Only, when they were finished looking foolish, they couldn’t see a single reflection of either Aria or Fitzy.

“Aria?”

There was no chiding response.

“Fitzy, where are you?”

No cackling returned.

So, this was the betrayal then.

They stumbled around, fingers splayed across the mirrors to help determine where they actually were. Despite their best efforts, the mirrors closed in around them, and they found themselves stuck in a box with no clear exit.

“Oi! Are you coming out or what?”

Graham perked up at the sound of Fitzy’s voice.

“You left me behind!” they grumbled out.

“You’re the one who didn’t follow us!” Aria poked back.

With a great deal of both lecturing and laughter, the two of them guided Graham to the exit until they tumbled out into their waiting arms, shaking with relief and their barely controlled giggling.

No betrayal after all, Graham thought to themself privately, enjoying their arms around their very real, non-reflection friends.

Right as they passed the now darkened fuschia tent on their way out, Graham felt a sharp stab in their side. They doubled over, hands clutching their stomach.

Aria and Fitzy quickly knelt to inspect them, but Graham could only squeeze out a “Bathroom!” which sent the three of them running towards the porta potties at the edge of the festival.

Each sprinting step brought them closer to what felt like an explosion, and Graham felt their innards writhing inside of them like discontented snakes.

They slammed into the soonest available stall, and the next half hour was spent bemoaning their existence and their blind consumption of cheese curds.

Their lactose intolerance had caught up to them after all, and the delicious dairy treats made sure that Graham paid the full price of admission.

They could hear Aria and Fitzy losing it at every movement their bowels made, howling with laughter at the aching, ungodly, constipated noises they made while unleashing dairy hell into the toilet.

It was only the sight of the fortune teller, gazing at them in a disquieted but unsurprised manner as she passed by to make her way into the same restroom that made them realize: that which they loved most had betrayed them before festival’s end.
