Hello lovely readers and welcome back... to The Weekly Owl! We know it’s been a while since you have heard from us, but we are ready to get back into it! Our goal at The Weekly Owl is to bring you the breaking news within roleplay. Now that Official Roleplay has ended, this is a perfect opportunity to bring back the beloved Weekly Owl.

The Weekly Owl covers all roleplay in-game and on Discord. As this is a roleplay newspaper, information must be gathered in-character, out-of-character discussions do not count. The Weekly Owl gathers the latest news, and interviews players from the roleplay community. Look out for future updates if you are interested in reading more!

Here’s some information on the team at The Weekly Owl:

The Editor in Chief position is the head of the staff. Not only do they get the final say on everything within the Weekly Owl from reports, applications, and writing, but they also help manage the team and put up editions. The Editors in Chief at the Weekly Owl are SLGLeugim and x_Ivy. At this time, the Editors in Chief position is not open for applications.

The Writer position is pretty self explanatory; they write and create articles for the paper. They work in collaboration with the editors, as well as the Lead Writer and Editors in Chief to put up articles for editions. Currently, the Lead Writer is ohKeira.

Editor is another very self explanatory position. They help look over the articles and make edits/suggestions to the writers. They also help with content accuracy. Although there is no Lead Editor at the moment, the team is still thriving in collaboration with the writers.

Reporters are the right-hand people to editors and writers. They feed information to the writers, and help to look into different events in roleplay. As of right now, there is no Lead Reporter.

Publishers get to give the article one final look. The publishers are in charge of book formatting, color coding, and Potterworld website formatting. The publishers are also the ones who release the articles instead of the Editors in Chief this time around. There is also no Lead Publisher at the moment.

Last but not least are the Distributors. They are in charge of distributing and promoting in-game books, as well as articles on the website to the public. There is no current Lead Distributor at the moment, and as of right now, the Editors in Chief have decided to disable the distributor role for the time being and focus on online posts.

This has been x_Ivy reporting for The Weekly Owl. Please keep an eye out in the future for releases, including breaking news and general announcements, coming from our Editors in Chief. As we are short staffed, we highly encourage you to fill out the application! If you are interested in joining our team, please apply here!
