Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Valentine's Day Store Releases​

The Store Team has done it again and stole all our hearts with this year’s adorable Valentine’s Day Store Releases! Check out the all-new Teddy Bear pet, and the new and seasonal Heartstorm death effects. The seasonal Valentine’s Housing Scenery and Heart Sceptre wand appearance had made it back on the store, as well as the seasonal Romance Emotes. Get them while you can, as these heartstoppers will only be available until March 9th!​

Spellbound Store Releases & Sale​

Players entered a realm of enchantment with the Spellbound Store Releases and sale! Magical items such as the Hook Wand and a Pet Frog Prince were made available. Players could also celebrate the season of love with a 30% discount on all items which lasted until February 17th. Other new additions included the Enchanted Mirror Warp Key for swift travel and the Pixie Dust Wand Effects for charming spells. Care for yourself or others with the new Wellness Emotes, and never be late again with the Timekeeper's Warp Key. Prices were also reduced on Nature Death Effects. Patch 1.9.1 Magic Changes​

The Engineer Team has released a new balancing patch for Magic, aiming to improve combat balance and versatility in dueling. Changes include adjustments to spell attributes such as damage, cast time, cooldowns, and mana costs, as well as fixes for bugs and enhancements to talents. We thank the Engineer Team for all of the hard work they’ve done, and we encourage players to provide any feedback through the Feedback & Suggestions forum.​

Return to the Enchanted Valley​

Love was in the air at the Enchanted Valley as Hogsworth students helped restore harmony in this Valentine's journey. From reuniting family members to kindling new romances, the Fairy Godmother guided players through heartwarming quests. With side quests like Painting Tales and Flowers Everywhere, activities like the Chocolatier's Assistance, and various challenges, players earned Event Tokens and Inspiration Sparks to exchange for rewards. Though the Valentine's Event has now concluded, the memories made in the Enchanted Valley will endure forever.​

Valentine's 2024 Competition​

The WizNetworker team were excited to announce this year’s Valentine’s Competition! Submissions for this competition had to follow the theme of depicting a love story. Players could submit their entry in the Potterworld Art Discord in order to have a chance at winning either the Tango Rose Hat, the Backpack Buddy Warp Key, or the Heart Staff wand appearance alongside house points and a gift card for the Potterworld store! For a shot at future competitions and giveaways, keep an eye out on the Potterworld discord and website for future announcements!​

8 Hours of Classes​

On February 17th, the Academics Department blessed the community with another 8 Hours of Classes for the enjoyment of all our class-loving players! These classes were hosted back-to-back, and were Valentine’s Day-themed. As if that wasn’t cool enough, students who attended at least 4 out of the 8 available classes had the opportunity to claim a special reward in the class lobby! Our wonderful Professors hosted a variety of classes including Magical Cuisine, Creative Writing, Magical Business, and so many more exciting subjects! We hope you were able to attend, and make sure to keep an eye out for the next Hours of Classes event.​

February Flying & Dueling Tournament Winners​

With the month wrapped up, it’s time to congratulate the winners of the 3v3 February Flying & Dueling tournaments! Let’s give a round of applause to our very talented flying champions, Invisibilia, M_Engel and SmellyLilBro! We can’t forget the talent of our powerful wizards, zZalt, Deathlish and TallBlondeDude, who took victory for the dueling tournament! The Arena Team hopes you all had fun participating, and we can’t wait to see you for the upcoming challenges and tournaments.​
