The forums aren't designed to just look 'good'. They are a place to have fun and mess around. Why shouldn't people be able to have some fun with how they format their text? What doesn't look good to you might look good to other people, you can't just assume that everybody else likes the boring...

I'm not sure about refreshing them, since it wouldn't really be daily, but was there anything wrong with the old system where it would give you a new riddle every day?

I agree. It's a daily riddle, not a parkour quest.

Different difficulties would probably just encourage people to go for the easier one - you don't get as good a reward, but considering you probably wouldn't get any reward for doing the harder one, most people probably would end up doing the easier.

If you don't like it don't join it.

Who reads the rules for a server before joining it for the first time anyway? Usually once you join it directs you to the rules and I read them before I actually start playing, not before I first log on

But why do we always need friends? Especially with the new tournaments, we really need active and good friends in order to do these things, since playing a quest with random people is never going to be as fun.

If you're in passive mode, that's probably because you don't have as much gear. A nerf to those of us with no gear would just make things worse.

Possibly an option in /me could be added to toggle this, like the drop items confirmation thing - so it would be on by default but you could turn it off This probably wouldn't work with the second option though

So why isn't the second idea, of changing the scenery, possible? It doesn't involve players interacting with the border, what's the problem?

I definitely agree that being able to customise your chat would be a good thing, but I'm fairly certain you can already use /f notify on/off to tell you when a friend comes online
