Arena 2023 Season 2 Releases

Greetings witches and wizards!

It's time for our Arena 2023 Season 2 Releases!

Arena Maps: We have added some new courses and arenas to our map repertoire!
NEW - Wigtown Quabbleball Dueling Arena
NEW - Dark Prison Arena
NEW - Super Secret Flying Course
NEW - Mustafar Star Racing Course

Arena Dueling Halls Update:
We have added two new features to the Dueling Halls!

NEW - Arena Tournament History - Want to see the history of our Seasonal, monthly Tournament, Event Tournament, and Winter Waltz Tournament Winners? Walk upstairs in the Dueling Halls to checkout the Arena trophy case.
NEW - Season Winner NPCs - Our seasonal winners now have the option to have an NPC message if they choose to!

New Challenge Type:
We heard your feedback regarding some of our dueling game modes and have decided to add a new one!

NEW - Random Teams Dueling Challenge
  • This game mode involves putting all attendees into a random team. Teams may not be formed ahead of time. Once the teams are made, they cannot be changed.

Arena Hub and Lobby Changes:
We've gone ahead and returned our Lobby and Hubs to normal, but we plan to decorate it again in the near future! Keep an eye out for some upcoming changes.

Arena Discord Changes:
#Arena101: We have begun releasing key information about dueling and how to improve your skills. We will continue to release more information regarding Talents and Spells this season.

Arena Token Shop: We will be rotating in and out our shop items in the middle of May. Stay tuned to see what the shop will have next!

Bug Fixes: We have fixed all of our Plasma Showdown Arenas so that the 5th Transfigurer talent no longer affects health in these type of challenges, tournaments, and FFAs. We have also fixed our discord challenge updates to reflect the host's actual position on the Arena Team.

Good on new releases but, randomized teams aren't a good way to make what is supposed to be competitive play actually competitive. You leave it up to chance, and if you don't get a good teammate, then the amount of arena score you would place with isn't fair. It takes away from the competitive aspect, you want to have the best team, and you want to place well, but what you don't want is a teammate who isn't up to you someone who is left to chance. In other competitive games, there is a reason that you never see randomized teams it's because they want to win with the greatest chance possible. Honestly, I'd prefer a team captains mode instead of it. With captains, you can at least choose good players and if you lose it's because your picks were bad. Or you have arena members be team captains and they pick teams. Other than that good releases.
