Created in October of 2020, the WizNewsletter serves as a way for students and staff to recap on the month's updates. WizNetworkers spend countless hours researching, writing, editing, and implementing each section so that the happenings of the wizarding world do not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, our Java Developer applications are closed until further notice. However, Post WizNetworker applications are open and calling your name! Ever been interested in writing captions and creating concepts for our social media as well as being involved in the WizNewsletter? If that doesn’t peak your interest, maybe being a part of the server’s newspaper, the Daily Diviner, will! Look out, DD Editor applications are back open and waiting for you! SERVER ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Store team has announced their newest items: The Growth Store Release! The new release contains six lovely and magical items that are perfect for the upcoming spring season! This release features items such as the new Pet Sprout, a beautiful Ivy Gem Staff, and the Beanstalk Broom. Whether you're looking for something to add a splash of green to your collection or want to celebrate the beginning of spring with some new items, this release is sure to please. We are so happy to congratulate Ariel (Creme_de_Creme) on her promotion to Assistant to Head of Academics! She will now be working alongside the current Head of Academics (Zach) and the rest of the department to make sure all live events on the server are running smoothly. If you participate in any classes, challenges, tournaments, or training sessions, make sure to thank the Academic Team and send a congrats Ariel’s way!
To all witches and wizards and everyone in between, let's hope you are wearing green to avoid getting pinched during this store re-release! During mid-March, the Store team announced the return of our seasonal St. Patrick's Day-themed items. We hope you were able to get these items before they left the shop at the end of March! From Pet Leprechauns to the Lucky Wand, there was something special for everyone. We hope you all enjoyed our St. Patrick's Day re-release this year.

GAMEPLAY UPDATESWith winter melting away, it’s finally becoming sports season, and with that, the Technology and Development department is excited to announce that they will be opening a beta version of Quabbleball for player testing and feedback. The first 20 people who commented their Minecraft Username and Discord tag on the Quabbleball Player Testing article on the Community Updates section of the Potterworld Forums were added to a private channel on the Potterworld Discord where they were given more information on how the player testing will work. This process will go on for about a month, so strap in for the long haul! They gave the chosen player testers access to the beta version of Quabbleball on Saturday, March 11. You can still leave feedback outside of the official beta testing, as all feedback is appreciated!
Prepare yourself, the Scribe Team is back at it with more pages and edits to our very own Potterworld Wiki! Included in this update are some exciting new NPC pages featuring Basically Beheaded Benjamin, Hailey Dixon, Marty Mitchell, and much more! Of course, we can’t forget the addition of one of our most recent Halloween event, “To The Other World 2022.” Along with these new pages are some rewritten NPC ones now updated to match our most updated lore! Several other edits were made, including graphics made by our wonderful Arithmancer team to some Reputation pages, additions featuring the Revenant Gauntlet, and Team page updates to reflect leadership changes. Make sure to go check out the new updates!
COMMUNITY UPDATESLove is in the air, as well as excitement from our Valentine’s 2023 Giveaway held by the WizNetworkers! In this giveaway, participants had to write something nice about another person. Since there were so many lovely entries, the WizNetworkers decided to pick out TWO winners! Congratulations to rosiemary and Davologies. As a prize, they had the chance to chose between the Valentine's Housing Scenery, Red Wizard Hat, or the Heart Staff wand appearance as well as an additional 200 House Points and Potter Points! You can check out their winning entries on the giveaway announcement post on the Potterworld Forums. Thank you to all participants, and we can’t wait to see the entries in the next giveaway!
We’d like to congratulate and bring some recognition to our March Flying and Dueling tournament winners! Congratulations to Davologies for winning the 1v1 Flying tournament! They were able to get first place in each race! Incredible! Another big congratulations to jacquas for winning the 1v1 Dueling tournament! Great job out there! Again, stupendous work! Make sure to keep an eye out for the 2v2 Flying tournament next month! We’d love to see you there!
