We are excited to announce that the Engineer team will be moving from Game Design to join Tech and Dev!

This change allows for the Engineers to work closer with the other coding positions on Potterworld, namely the Developers, in a setting where they are able to contribute more towards the future development of Potterworld and our server upgrade.

With this merge the team will also be returning to their original name of Curse Breakers.

The Curse Breakers will continue to work on all magic and mobs for the server, and take the various requests that we recieve for classes, minigames, and world content. We also encourage any players who are interested in Magic or MythicMobs and/or have experience, to consider applying for the position!

Hello everyone!

We’re excited to announce that our winter minigame tournaments will be making a return again this year during the Winter Waltz.

This tournament will feature our three winter-inspired minigames: Sledding, Wand Spleef and Snowballing.

Our tournament will involve three separate leaderboards for each gamemode. Players can earn points through being the last one standing in Wand Spleef, knocking out players in Snowballing or by winning races in Sledding.

Unlike last year however, the tournaments will be staggered, with a different game’s tournament unfolding every week. Each tournament will begin on Wednesday at 12am PST and end on the following Tuesday at 11:59pm.

The tournaments will commence from the second week of the event and follow the below schedule:

• Wednesday December 11th - Tuesday December 17st: Sledding
• Wednesday December 18th - Tuesday December 24th: Snowballing
• Wednesday December 25th - Tuesday December 31st: Wand Spleef

All rewards will be handed out after the conclusion of the Winter Waltz event.

Skate across the Fjord, dine in the Great Hall nestled into the roots of Yggdrasil, and perhaps even become the first outsider in hundreds of years to learn Galdrakademian Magic, a brand new system of magic for all to enjoy. The school is yours to explore... So long as you can find a way to get the weary students to trust you.

Quests & Activites
In your Quest Journal, you will see a new icon for the Winter Waltz Event. This will be accessible throughout the entire event and will be disabled after the event ends. Upon completing quests, you will be rewarded ❊ Snowflakes! There are seven main quests that can be completed once, three side quests that can be completed once every 12 hours, and five side quests that can be completed once every three hours.

In addition to the quests, there is also an exclusive activities to enjoy! Ratatoskr has an advent calendar of riddles ready to be solved and decorations ready to be retrieved! Check back everyday at 12 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) to receive a new riddle up until January 1st, 2025! You don't want to miss out on these daily reward opportunities!
